American Made Moccasins
This moccasin kit was well crafted and easy to assemble. I was able to assemble them in about 2 hours and that was because I made an error lining up one of the holes. Probably could have finished them in an hour and a half. Very nice leather. The outside is a finished leather the inside is suede. Only time will tell about durability. I am satisfied with the kit.

Awesome kit
My 8 year old put these together in about 30 minutes. The leather is soft and it's a great beginner's kit. I would buy it again.

Nice, soft leather...odd colors?
Overall, these were pretty simple to put together. The first one took me about 45 minutes with constantly rechecking the directions and fixing mistakes, but the second one only took about 15 without even looking at the sheet. Mine don't look QUITE like the picture, but not too bad for a first time with zero stitching skills. The big issue I have is with the coloring. I don't know if the pieces were grabbed from two different sources, but the sole is a couple shades darker than the cuff and toe cap, as the pictures show.About the sizing being small...that all depends. If you're wearing them with socks then your normal size might be a little snug, but when barefoot your size should be pretty true. With bare feet I'm around an 8.5, so going by other reviews I made a mistake and bumped it up to the 10. Much too big. Not a huge deal as the leather tends to stick to your feet and they're for laying around in, but I easily have a finger width behind the heels when I pull them tight down on the toes.In the end, the leather seems to be fairly high quality and is a pretty good project, especially considering that buying leather moccasins will run you at least twice as much, probably closer to three times. If the colors were uniform I'd probably give them 5 stars, but since they almost look two-tone, I have to knock it down to 4.

Useful and fun
This kit was a really good idea. Most comfortable mocs I have every worn. They did stretch a little bit with wearing but that is to be expected, this is natural leather. All one needs to do is chinch up the ties a bit more. I needed to undo several inches of the first one because I didn't read the instructions carefully enough but the assembly of the second moc went fast. I'll be doing this again!

A nice kit.
I had a hard time at first making these because you need a lot of hand and finger strength to pull the laces tight to make the leather pleats, and the instructions were a little vague. But I solved that by using a pair of pliers to pull the lace and a tiny screwdriver to force the leather to pleat. Overall I am happy with how they turned out. A suggestion would be for the kit to include a glue to keep the cut ends of the laces from fraying.

Fine for what they are
This is a very basic moccasin kit. I bought these just to wear around the house. It uses nylon shoelaces to hold the whole thing together. The leather is decent, but I'm not personally fond of the yellowy-tanish color (perhaps best described as "bile"; how did they land on that, vice a natural leather color or just brown?).The leather itself seems thick enough and strong enough for light wear. The memory foam padding helps hold the shape of the shoe and gives some cushion, which is nice *except* I wish they were optional. They cannot be removed. As I mentioned, the color is kind of ugly. I used leather dye to make mine "saddle tan," which was a bit of work, but ultimately makes them look way better, IMO.Also expect the bottoms to get gross. If you step in anything soft or moist (like a mere cookie crumb), it will get smooshed into the leather, leaving an ugly mark on the bottom until you decide to clean them again. I used some acrylic resolene to add a finish to the leather, in hopes it would keep the bottom from getting so gross, but it didn't help. The shoelace construction also kind of put me off, so I opted to buy some leather strands instead. They look a lot better than the nylon shoe laces, but probably aren't as durable. One annoyance was that some of the pre-punched holes weren't completely punched through. That made it really hard to get some of the laces through. I had to use a knife to try to cut the holes open more.Overall, 3/5 stars because of the appearance (leather color, use of shoelaces) and the quality (not all holes were punched). For $25 they can do better for something that the customer has to assemble. I would spend twice that for ones that look better and are professionally sewn. They are nice to wear around the house.

I'm a size 10 normal width.
I ordered the 10/11 and put it together as an 11 (there are 2 sets of holes in the heel) and it fits great. I was a little disappointed as the lacing was shoelaces instead of leather but I found the laces made putting them together much easier (I was a scout). You can put them together skin side or flesh side out or any combination you want.

Oil based foam insert causes horrendous food sweating
I bought these first for a little fun putting them together, secondly because I wanted leather soles and a soft but not memory foam soft sole. It seems most manufacturers now are making memory foam sole slippers. But for the synthetic foam foot beds these are awesome, however the soles don't breathe, are way too narry for even a normal width foot and consequently the slippers are uncomfortable and unwearable. I'll see if they will refund assembled slippers.

They feel good on my feet.
It took a little bit of thinking to understand the instructions but they worked out great. I think I will buy another pair or two for my family.
