I recently started making my own cleaning products and found out that things with borax and/or washing soda tend to clump after a while. I put a few of these packets with those products and store them in a glass jar. It really helps prevent the problem.

Thought about getting the color changing bead ones, but the standard ones work so well, why change it up. These are different than those that are slightly larger in that the paper is thicker and slightly less transparent—you do, however, see the slight color change (from clear to yellowish) in the beads when these are held up to the light—which seems reassuring when tossing these in with dried herbs and tea. Used these to ship out some herb sachets, and they're the perfect size for the project.

Stuck these into all of my spice containers -homemade and store bought rubs, garlic & onion powders, peppers, etc. All the stuff that sucks in the moisture and gets clumpy or hard in the jar between uses. Works pretty well. Still some minor clumping on some, but overall much better than without them.

I purchased these because my SV3C 3MP IP security cameras were fogging up here in the PNW. I installed two packets into each camera and it seems to have fixed the fogged up cameras. Not sure how long they will last or if the moisture they hold will affect the electronics but for the last 30-days they have stopped the problem.

I use them for Tru Lemon and fructose -- both are very hygroscopic. Solved the problem of those items clumping.

We needed these on our sailboat to help mitigate moisture/mold issues. We’re in the tropics and think it may be too much to expect these to do what we need in this environment. We put them in spices/meds and as long as they’re kept tightly closed seem to do the job, but when you’re in those bottles frequently...not so much (again, under these conditions). Under less humid conditions they should work fine, as we’ve used them in Pennsylvania with great results.

I use if to keep the salt dry in my salt shaker. I live in southern Florida where the humidity is always high. I also use it to keep my fructose sugar dry since it absorbs moisture and these packets keep it dry.
