BEST dog harness there is!
We have had this exact harness for 10+ years and 5 varied sizes of dogs.(3 ours and 2 gifted to other dog owners) It easily slips on and has 1 quick latch. Excellent quality and the handle on the back is so much easier to lift-assist. It's also good if you have a younger or feisty dog that is excited by others. Holding the handle instead of the leash is a plus. We were given big kudos from animal control once when they found our wayward hound!

Very comfortable and easy to use, but ...
Don't get me wrong, this is a GREAT harness and our 75 pound pit bull Herbie loves it because it's comfortable. We love it because it's easy to put on and take off. That said, we did have a serious problem. We sometimes keep Herbie on a 50' long 3/16" thick steel cable in the driveway. He's a super mellow dog and very friendly. (Just ask the mail carrier.) The cable is equipped with strong clips on both ends and a shock absorbing spring on one end.Last week, Herbie took off after a squirrel and was running full blast when he ran out of cable. The shock temporarily stopped him cold and completely parted the steel D-ring that you're supposed to attach your leash to. This left him free to roam. (The attached picture shows what was left of the D-ring.) Fortunately, he was shook up enough to turn around and immediately come home. Don't worry, he's chipped and wears a collar with his name and our phone number on it.We ordered an identical new harness, but had a friend weld the D-ring so it cannot part like the last one. I guess we'll see what the next weakest link is.

Fits my 220lb English Mastiff!
Wow. This is the first collar or harness of any kind that I've bought off Amazon which fit my English Mastiff. I've probably bought 10 different collars and harnesses over the past year trying to find just ONE that fit my extremely large English Mastiff. To be truthful, he really doesn't need a collar or harness. He follows me without the need for any kind of leash and doesn't run off. But, unfortunately for him, people can be pretty afraid of his size despite being the most gentle dog you'll find. So, I had to find something. Took a chance on this one and I'm glad I did. It's the first anything that I've found which fits his gigantic head and neck.No idea on how strong it is as he'll never test its strength. But, he doesn't mind it so it's a win win for this house!

Easy to put on my big dogs!
The padding and the wide straps seem more comfortable than harnesses I’ve used in the past.

Easy To Put On - Sturdy Harness
We have two 75 pound senior dogs and their old harnesses were something out of my nightmares. Untangling each one took an engineering degree and then putting it on each animal was a test in both agility and patience. By the time the harnesses were on, we were ready to forgo the walk altogether, which sucked. As an extra special bonus the harnesses seemed to encourage our youngest to pull even harder on his leash. He runs about three to five miles every other day, so pulling was a constant battle. Finally, we switched to these HDP harnesses.*The sizing was tricky. Both our dogs weigh the same, but one was an x-large and one was a large. Make sure to measure, because the size of your dog's belly and chest does matter.*Putting these harnesses on and taking them off is a dream. Our older dog who has arthritis looked at us with appreciation because it took just two seconds to snap her in, instead of the three minutes with her old harness.*The handle is so convenient. Even our vet commented on how slick it was when she was examining our youngest.*The strap on the chest is not padded, but honestly it does not matter. There are no sharp edges and it is adjustable. We have not had any issues.*The harness does not eliminate pulling, but it does help refocus their attention to their chest when they do start to pull harder. We are using it as tool along with verbal commands to slow down during our runs.**We are also having a backpack custom made for our youngest to go along with the harness, so he can get the most out of his runs and carry more weight and we hope this will help with his urge to pull.

VERY happy
Arrived within 8 days of order so that was a nice surprise. Not cheap but work a treat. I have 2 crossbreeds who are half Samoyed (sled dog breed) so pull like a steam train on ordinary leads, also when they meet other dogs they have a tendency to lunge if the other dog acts aggressively & can easily pull you over, im 15 stone & I have struggled with this in the past. Not any more, the fixed handle allows me complete control, they cant pull in a different direction so I can stay balanced and they cant lunge.I modified mine slightly by adding a very short lead to the D ring, long enough to reach my hand, but short enough not to hang down too far on the dogs. The result is that when I want them to have a run, I just let go of the leads, when I want to get them back on the leads I just tell them to stop and pick up the lead end, much easier & quicker than fiddling about with lead clips.Pics attached showing the short leads I tied to the harness.

Complete control!
AMAZING!! My dog is very cheeky & knew how to get himself out of the normal harnesses but the way this one goes around his body is perfect as it doesn't allow him to do that anymore. He has gotten out of his collar and harnesses before & ran away ( very dangerous situations) I would go out with fear that it would happen but with this, I go out more often now and feeling safe that he is secure. It has honestly helped so much. He use to pull a lot but with this I can calm him down. I LOVE the handle it has so if he gets to crazy I can hold him securely. Quality wise it is also very good and secure. Strong , made very well & makes my dog look very fancy. 10/10 ! :)

Hows this work then?
Err? Wow!._. Hows this work? I have a german shepherd and when i take him for a walk i usually get dragged round, which is very unpleasant, so i had a browse at some of the harnesses and this one has a lot of good reviews and thats bacause it works, i dont know how but he doesnt pull anymore and for the past week the walks have been great, really i'm quite surprised at what it does and it doesnt restrict him in anyway, i let him off the lead and he ran around and was playing as he normally does. I gave it 5 stars and definitely recommended it if you are getting dragged along by your pet pooch. this is distributed from the USA so its a couple of weeks wait for delivery. Its also easy fit but if in doubt just google "how to fit a dog harness" as long as you dont make it too tight your pooch should be a happpy chappie. The added bonus for all fans of call of duty ghosts is that if you own a German Sheperd this harness makes your dog look like 'riley' and we all know how cool riley is!

4 out of 5 from Alan the Airedale
I'm a human so this obviously isn't for me... but my dog wore it and he said it was comfortable enough. The clip did break after a few months and we've moved onto another harness now... but the handle on it was bad-ass! Alan (my dog) is mental and would be like "Oh look! A Squirrel!" and I'd grab the handle and say "Stay here, you bitch!" and he'd tell me that, despite the operation, he's not a female and we'd laugh about it for a second and then he'd bite me.But anyway. It was good whilst it lasted. Pictures of him wearing it can be found on his instagram @ airedaleterriorist
