Protein Pow is Macro Magic!
As a macro-watching, fitness-fanatic, every-day-is-lift-day, protein-loving kind of chick... I have found these recipes to be extremely delicious, easy and fun - not to mention a WONDERFUL substitute for flour baked goods. I am always on the look out for foods with high protein and healthy/well balanced macros - this book provides A LOT of recipes in every category (mostly baked goods - but also delicious foods). Not to mention everything is sugar, gluten and soy free! One thing I love is that I can change all the recipes based on what I have (i.e. - if I don't have pea protein, I can substitute and still come out with a great treat). My boyfriend and I are personal trainers and we have gotten many other people to purchase this book as well just as a helpful start on other creative protein sources. We have tried many of the recipes and our favorite it the banana bread (she has like 5 banana bread recipes at least). We add cinnamon, exchange banana whey protein with chocolate whey and come out with a delicious, moist bread every time. We have decided that it tastes even better than regular banana bread. Regardless of the recipe that we make - we easily change it around to fit our cravings and enjoy the outcome every time.Note: I attached a photo of the recipe, before and after photo of our DELICIOUS personalized banana bread!I highly recommend that people read and seriously take note of the first section of this book where Anna breaks down cooking with all types of protein. She also gives a crash course on food and the body; written easy enough for 8 year old to understand. There are also graphs of all the ingredients and how they can be substituted - rest assured that you will find all the information you need to cook with this book successfully. If you are looking to cook with soy protein (which is a horrible idea) there are no recipes in there with soy - Anna even explains and SHUTS DOWN people that think otherwise. Soy is not only a nearly-useless protein, it just doesn't do for cooking what all the other, actually beneficial, proteins do. (So stay away soy people and also... stop using soy crap).

The book is filled with fun illustrations, great designs
This book is really cute! The book is filled with fun illustrations, great designs, and it is FILLED with interesting and unique recipes. However, like some reviewers pointed out, some of the proportions do seem a bit off. If you use good quality powder and fiddle with some of the proportions, I think these recipes are really cool. The book is really colorful with lots of detail- there are even charts about how to substitute powders, ingredient substitutions, as well as information about the different kinds of protein. If you’re willing to do a little fiddling, this book is great.

A good cookbook with great variety of recipes and ingredients.
Protein powder recipes can be found in every corner of the Internet for free, so why buy this book?First, while you can find recipes online, having a collection of recipes using different ingredients and protein powders of all kinds in one easy-to-digest and refer to manual is worth the small investment of the book.Second, what Anna does at the beginning of the book is explain different types of protein powders and the importance of reading the label. This alone is worth the price of the book. The supplement industry is one of the more dishonest, persuasive industries in the World. You must read the labels carefully and you must know what you want in your protein powder, and what you don't want. There's a lot of recipes, you'll never get bored and if you don't happen to like one, that's fine, there's a bunch more to try out. Finally, and what sets this book apart from many others similar and other recipes online, is the variation in different types of protein that Anna uses and descriptions of where and how to use them (i.e. egg protein is great. It's cheap, good for people with dairy intolerance, a good, complete, source of protein. But don't mix it with too much water).Of, I also loved the drawings throughout. Why not have fun reading at the same time.

So I like the book
So I like the book, I like the quality of the recipes as well, but if you're hoping to find a book that has simple ingredients and staples that you would already have in your kitchen, this may not be the best for you. The recipes want you to have multiple different types of protein powders in different flavors. If you're looking for variety and trying different things this is great but I was really looking for recipes that came from a smaller selection of protein powders and simple ingredients.

The Best Cookbook I've purchased in a long time (and I have hundreds of cookbooks!)
For those of you looking to lead a healthier life and trying to incorporate different proteins into it, this book is for you. Often when browsing through cookbooks I will skip the introduction chapters...DON'T. It is a quick concise explanation of the various types of proteins and their chemical composites in language we all can understand. It helps you understand in a few pages what proteins are best for what purposes and what types of cooking. I find myself going back to the first several pages for an easy reference guide. We have tried several of the recipes and have found ourselves ordering different types of proteins I never thought I would use. So far everything has tasted amazing! (Even the recipes with pea protein...and I hate peas!!) You have to try the protein fluff recipes. They are amazing low calorie, high protein sweet goodness, and the size of the serving is immense. I even have my trainer hooked on the recipe and eating fluff regularly as a treat!I'm watching for followup cookbooks it is that good!

Excellent Way to Add Variety to Protein
- Lots of very good recipes.- Clear instructions.- The vast majority of the recipes use very common or easy to find ingredients.- There are quite a few recipes that call for chocolate and vanilla pea protein which I cannot source locally. She did include a protein substitution chart that ranks how well different proteins work for the recipes, so getting a ton of different protein powders isn't a requirement.- There is also a pretty extensive write-up on each type of protein and what properties it has that make it ideal for certain recipes.- Every recipe that she has done has turned out well.

I bought this for my brother's Christmas as he trains hard and eats very clean and struggles to find recipes to incorporate his protein powder into. He was impressed with this recipe book that not only does it have many tasty sweet recipes but also savoury options (which he had been struggling to find elsewhere). The book is a great size for working with in the kitchen and the ingredients specified aren't typically difficult to get. It also gives different variations of protein powder you can use in each recipe. Over all a great buy

Sehr hilfreich
