Startling inky blue pigment core
I'd tried this White Now toothpaste before, but this promises a new formulation. If you don't know what to expect, this can be a somewhat scary product as the toothpaste includes a pigment that is designed to catch blue light and create an appearance (light based illusion) of tooth whiteness. The description doesn't make clear that this pigment is a really deep blue. The clue is in the colour of the packaging, it's that deep, ink blue. The new formula seems to mean that the blue colour is stronger and longer lasting than the older version. The first squeeze that came out of this tube was almost entirely blue pigment, though afterwards this has been a pearlescent, shimmery semi-opaque white with a core of ink blue pigment. This is quite disconcerting when it starts foaming in the mouth. The colour is far darker even than any disclosing tablets I've ever used and the new formula seems to make the blue colour longer lasting and more prone to staining lips. The whitening effect is temporary, so effective at creating a short-term whitened smile, but perhaps best used in conjunction with a more long-term, safely compatible product. The advertised 'glacier' flavour is a cool mint, and this seems to come entirely from the white part. The new formula seems to be better balanced than had previously been the case, so that the blue component tastes less like sucking on the business end of a fountain pen than the version I'd tried before, but it's still not hugely pleasant.

True Blue
This toothpaste is really good at teeth whitening, but be prepared for a messy basin, particularly if you use an electric toothbrush! The paste itself is a deep blue (think Leicester City, or Chelsea) and occasionally this blue is encased in a white outer paste. The blue takes ages to dissolve down, and although cleaning your teeth if it spatters it makes a real mess. Having used it for about a week now, the secret seems to be that you only need a very small amount; possibly less than the "pea sized" portion most toothpastes recommend (the tube is so small it is impossible to read the useage instructions). However, I have been using once a day, paired with my usual whitening toothpaste (which had seemed to stop working), and my teeth are noticeably whiter, with the staining reduced. Nice taste too, not too minty.Recommended.

White Teeth Toothpaste
I have tried this Signal White Now, Zendium, Taylor's 32, and charcoal toothpaste over the years. I prefer the Taylor's 32 mint toothpaste which is free from; SLS, artificial flavors, sweeteners, colorants, preservatives or abrasives, petrochemicals or parabens. The Signal White toothpaste is more of a translucent white color and does a good job of cleaning your teeth.According to the manufacturers, the toothpaste is created with 3 x more exclusive, non-abrasive blue light technology for an even better instant white result in 1 brush, and it is clinically proven to give you instantly whiter teeth in 1 brush and suitable for everyday use. Plus, White Now is not a bleaching product. It uses Zero abrasive instant white technology to avoid damage to enamel or increased sensitivity. Not a cheap product at £5.50, with Taylor's 32 at £5.

Really Works
This Signal White now toothpaste actually works. The team at Signal have created a special non abrasive formula based on blue light technology. My sample is just 50ml the Signal has two reservoirs of paste a white and a blue. The makers claim it works after just one brushing and I have to admit my teeth did look remarkably whiter. This is all achieved with no harsh abrasives or bleaches.Niggles?Like all savvy toothpaste users I use just the recommended pea sized amount of paste on my battery powered toothbrush. When I first used just a small sized amount of the paste it was all white, it was only later after a couple of uses that the intense blue part came out. This is the 'business' end of the paste and just a small amount produces a large amount of blue coloured paste.I would recommend that you take care when brushing for the paste could stain your clothes.Even after spitting the paste out and rinsing I noticed a dark blue line around my lips so again I would check and recheck yourself in the mirror before going out.Overall?A good choice for whitening your teeth at home.

Very blue!
This is a crazy toothpaste, I've never used anything quite like it before. I've used whitening toothpastes but not like this! This is a semi-clear coloured toothpaste with vey dark blue, dense streaks in it which once you brush, the foam in your mouth is vivid blue, your teeth look blue and is quite satisfying as you brush as it really foams and makes your mouth feel very clean.Once you've spat and rinsed it does seem to leave your tongue tainted blue for a while and it's also stained my toothbrush bristles bright blue which I was quite surprised at! It does however leave your teeth temporarily gleaming and shiny and fairly white, it's not a lasting effect but they definitely feel the cleanest my teeth have felt.Fairly expensive at the moment and fun to use but not a lasting whitening effect in my opinion but temporarily teeth look amazing and gleaming! Great quick fix!
