10 min to replace old battery with new
This battery arrived promptly and undamaged. I took it out of the box, flipped my mid 2012 aluminum MacBook Pro upside down, removed the screws holding the back plate on, and, after disconnecting, then removing the old battery, installed the new one. After screwing the cover securely, I opened the MacBook Pro, pressed the power button and it powered up. Then I followed the instructions to calibrate the battery electronics by draining the battery and fully charging it, twice, before using the MacBook Pro as I usually do. All is well. I can't rate the battery life in years, but it is better than the worn out, 5 year old battery it replaced. I use this computer for multi-track recordings of live bands and as such, it has 16 GB of RAM and a 500 GB SSD, so I would say it has about 3 hours of battery while 24bit recording 4 separate tracks using GarageBand. This battery seems to be a much better quality manufactured product than other companies I have purchased from.
