The first one lasted EIGHT YEARS!
OK, so it doesn't have brakes or steer. It's a gardening scooter. That's all it is. It's a bench that scoots. Don't leave it pointing nose-down on a slanting driveway, and there are no problems. Yes, I do have to stand up to turn it around, but I don't consider that to be much of a problem. I'm old, and I need to get up frequently, or else my knees lock anyway. My last one lasted for eight years (and I'm hefty.) It's so much better than bending over and straining my back.We had a useless umbrella holder that relatives gave us, and I bought an enormous, vented, beach umbrella, so now, I sit comfortably, in the shade, and listens to free books from librivox.com on a little, cheap, MP3 player (also from Amazon.)I almost don't mind pulling weeds anymore. Since our neighbors are on well-water, I don't feel right about spraying herbicides on our yard, so I get to spend days pulling out vicious weeds every year, but this scooter makes it so much better.

Great stool for any kind of low work
I use this in my upholstery shop. I absolutely love it for all those close-to-the-floor applications. I was squatting down so much to get my work done, and it was taking a toll. My legs would fall asleep, I'd get dizzy upon standing, and my knees and feet were getting sore. This little stool is so much better than squatting, kneeling, sitting on the ground, sitting on some other kind of low but stationary seat, or any other method of positioning to work on low areas. It's very easy to scoot around short distances to change work areas without having to get up and then s1uat back down again. If I need to go any significant distance, it's lightweight and easy to carry without loosing the stuff stored on the bottom. The wheels are hard plastic and work well indoors and out. I would love the option of more rugged wheels for use on rocky areas (like the crushed marble floors in the crawl space under the house), but these work well for their advertised, intended purpose.I like the design of the storage area. I've had a similar stool in the past that had a compartment under the hinged seat. It seemed like a good idea to have enclosed storage, but it was a pain to have to get up to get anything out of it, and it held moisture even with drainage holes. It's so convenient to keep several tools in that storage area and just switch them out as needed. I never lose my tools anymore. My only complaint is that the seat is cut to face forward. I prefer to sit sideways on it and to be able face any direction as needed. The seat is much more comfortable than it would be if it was a square flat seat. My first choice would be a molded, butt-shaped seat capable of spinning, but barring that, I think a round or oval shaped seat would probably work better than the current design. I'll probably fix something up in the shop to make it more comfy. The pile of parts and assembly directions were intimidating at first but it came together surprisingly well, quickly and easily.I'm really happy with this purchase, and I prefer this model to a similar product I've had before (Step2 model). Because I'm not totally satisfied with the shape of the seat, I'd give it 4 and a half stars if possible, but I rounded up to 5.

Good quality, but difficult to assemble
I bought one, but ended up loaning it to my pregnant daughter who uses it. Bought a second one for myself when I realized I wasn’t getting mine back. Lol.I like how they put extra detail into the assembly, with lots of washers and screw clamps. Should last a long time.My only complaint is that it was really hard to follow the 3 step instructions, which is why it did not get 5 stars. I’ve done a lot of furniture assembly, so it’s not just me. I added pictures of the more complicated steps, so hopefully it will make it easier for someone else. Well worth struggling through putting it together.

Run away and buy something else!
I purchased this product at Lowe's. It's exact same one with the exact same instructions! When I began to put it together I put together the bottom piece upside down because the instructions are so poor. So I had to take all that apart and do it again. Once I finally got it all put together which took me about three weeks because I kept getting frustrated and putting it up, I took it outside and set down on it and thought it was going to collapse under my weight!! It says for people up to 300 lb and I weigh about 140lbs! I feel the seat buckle and the wheels wobble. It feels so unstable!! Also terribly uncomfortable. It's made in a weird way because usually you would want to sit and roll from side to side not face forward and roll. Think about how it's made when you look at it in the picture. Why would you want to sit facing forward and roll that way? I was building a fence and the last thing I needed to do was put landscape pins in the bottom of the fence to pin It to the Ground. It was a perfect idea to roll around and Hammer those pins into the ground instead of having to stand up and carry everything and bend over to hammer. That's what I ended up doing because this little cart was that uncomfortable! And it was really hard to roll in the grass, in the grass! In the mowed grass! Because it feels like it's collapsing under your weight it doesn't want to roll very well. If you weigh about 75 lb maybe it would work better I, like I said, weight 140, and just know I'm too heavy for it! I should not be too heavy and 140 for this cart. I'm nowhere near skinny, but not fat either. I'm 5 foot 8 in tall and we just way more LOL

Works great.
Have a broken shoulder. Still can sit and pick weeds with my other arm. Don't have to worry about bending over all the time. Put it together 1 handed. Worked fine. Sturdy enough for me. At 5'9 180#
