I am what you might call an enthusiast watch collector. I have about 20 watches ranging from Omega to Invicta. I do not buy watches because of the name (I my opinion that’s lame) but because they appeal to me or have something interesting about them. This watch is my first Revue Thommen.A watch with an Eta GMT movement for under $600.00 is already a pretty good deal. Throw on top the fact that it is rated to 1000 Ft. it has a see through back, diver’s extension and this watch is a pretty robust competition to watches costing 3 times as much.There aren’t many pictures of this watch out there but trust me… the back is just as good looking as the front.I love the feel. It fits well in my wrist (You know a watch fits well when you forget you have it on and it just becomes part of you). This watch is also the right size for me. Coming at just 42mm, is not too big or too small. With watches today tending to be the size of dessert plates, this watch is just perfect (again, perfect for me) I can wear it under long sleeve shirts with no problem and no unsightly bulge on my wrist.It looks real good (in my opinion). Some people would say that this types of watches pay tribute (in some cases copy) the look of Rolex. In my opinion, the time of paying homage to Rolex is over. This watch actually has sleeker lines and a curvier look than the squarish look of the Submariner. Take a closer look at the submariner and see how (in my opinion again) the band actually looks too thin for the case. Not so with the Revue.I’ve had it for close to two weeks and the time so far is keeping well within acceptable tolerances. I sync my watches with the atomic clock and this watch is keeping within 5-7 seconds in a 7 day period, of course I have only done it once. That is not bad for a mechanical watch.I do have a couple of not so positive things to say though… first, although the band is really good, the clasp could be of the push button style. Yes, it has a security band over the clasp but it would be nice to have the push button style. Second, the lumes are not that bright. I find they fade a bit quicker than I would like.Overall, for the price… an excellent purchase

Just received RT Diver with black dial. On pin on bracelet fell out upon removal from box! Not a great marketing tool. Not happy, but will keep watch due to my removing tag already!

Product received as described actually looks more expensive than the cost. thumbs up to the seller “perfect timing” ensuring that the watch is delivered to me in good time despite that I had issues with my delivery address. Watch came in the original package and papers

Beautifully made GMT. The band had a loose pin as another had mentioned. A little loctite on the pin and voila! I would give this a 5 star. But two things,I feel the band could be of higher quality at this price point and they say "ETA movement" That's incorrect ETA no longer provides movements outside their swatch group. It has an excellent Soprod M100 movement. It's right at + 6 seconds per day .Look it up, equal to the ETA. But needs to be disclosed in the ad.I had to return due to the GMT losing 2 hours every 48 hrs. Waiting to see what the seller does.UPDATE: The seller replaced the movement. +1 sec per day over 15 day period worn 12 hours of medium activity. I love the watch.I am told the Soprod has some issues now and then. But when they are right, they stay right. They are near perfect.Update:Stopped 2 weeks ago Nov 15th 2021. Shipping back to jewelers. The Soprod keeps time real well until it stopped dead. They just don't aren't reliable without the ETA movement. Jeweler seemed willing to repair. Will see how it works out.

Great swiss watch at a very reasonable price. I've had another Revue Thommen for 15 years and it has been a great watch so far so I expect this one to be as good as the older one. This is truly a great watch!!!

Very happy with this watch. Bought it as a travel watch. We often end up in places I just don't feel comfortable wearing a Rolex, Panerai or Omega - parts of Latin America, Asia, Africa, etc. It's just not a smart decision. This watch feels quality and is running 2 seconds fast per day. Case - 10/10 Perfect milling and polish, Bezel 9/10 - mine is the green bezel, very similar to a "Kermit Rolex" PVD, not Ceramic. Bidirectional smooth positive clicks. Band 10/10 - links near perfect, pin and barrel connectors. Crown barrel - 8/10 it's a long barrel and you want to be careful the first few times you adjust the movement - it feels like you could cross thread the barrel if you aren't paying attention. Gets easier after a few uses. Date window 8/10 - Does not magnify as much as a Submariner. Clasp 6/10 - Really the only fly in the ointment for me about this watch. It has a dive suit extension that's nice but it creates some bulk with it’s standard folding clasp. More importantly the over lock doesn't marry well with the folding clasp. It locks but it isn't aligned perfectly. It's interesting because the rest of the watch is absolutely stellar especially for the price.

I always loved the look of the Rolex GMT but also thought it was not worth the price, maybe because it was outside my reach. The Revue Thommen GMT is absolutely fantastic. It feels great, it looks great and it works great.I've been wearing it for almost a year, without removing it when I work out, swim or do any type of work outdoor. It is still perfect, excluding a couple of minor scratches. The see-through back is nice too. I must agree with the other reviewer who said that the back is just as good as the front.I love the proportions. The band looks perfect for the 42mm case. If I could change only one thing that would be the watch face. It's a bit too dull.So far it keeps the time well within acceptable tolerances and i don't have to worry about servicing the watch once a year spending $500 each time.
