Eco credentials at an affordable price
My labradoodle is a fussy eater. He dislikes all kibble but he's a big dog and needs plenty of food so I like to feed it. This food went down a treat tarted up with some wet food ( as I usually do). No horrid pongs, nice poos and I love the eco and animal friendliness of it. Even has paper packaging. He catches insects anyway, so in sure he's ok eating them. I'll definitely buy again. Price compares well with better quality kibble products.

Great quality and dogs love it!
The dogs love it and it is excellent value for money but my only gripe is the fact it is out of stock so often that it makes it very difficult to plan and keep the dogs on it long term. The fluctuations in price too are disappointing and again make planning difficult. If they could resolve the stock problem then they'd have a long term customer here.

Dog loves it and it is greener: what's not to love?
Thought we would try this, as eating insects is better for the environment than meat or fish based diets. I don't think I could bear to eat insects myself, but dogs don't know what they are eating and would not care, anyway. If it smells and tastes good, they will eat it, so the least I can do is switch my dog's diet. The key thing is that he wolfed it down, as I expected.I note that there's been a lot of publicity recently for Yora, another brand of insect-based dog food, which claims to be the only one in the UK. Clearly this is not correct, as this German-made brand is available in the UK.Yora is staggeringly expensive, at £90 for 12kg, so this one is WAY cheaper. I paid £33 for 10kg, which is equivalent to £40 for 12kg, so less than half the price of Yora. This one is pretty competitive with any normal dry dog food.I notice that as I write this review the price on Amazon has gone up to £48, so I recommend shopping around.

Great novel protein! Smaller bags would be a benefit.
Potentially a waste of money if your dog won’t eat it, given it only seems to come in a 10kg bag.. however after initially ignoring this food for two days straight, my dog finally came around to eating it. Whilst he might not eat with with as much enthusiasm as other foods (he loves cold pressed), he’s not had an allergic reaction to this, and his skin has begun healing - so even if he’s not enjoying it as much, his health is improved (and there’s always treats for the enjoyment factor!)This really has been a great “safe food”, the protein is unique and a lifesaver when you’ve given your dog a varied diet and are limited on the novel protein front! I think there are likely (from my research), healthier options, but this is by no means an unhealthy option! Certainly worth a try if your pup needs something new or you’re feeling eco-friendly! Just a smaller (even 2kg or 5kg) bag would be a huge advantage to ensure they’ll eat it!For £35.90 my dogs been eating this for around 6.5 weeks and there’s a fair bit left (24kg crossbreed), and he doesn’t have his food measured or weighed, so it’s relatively cost effective and of a decent quality!

No more farting!
I tried specific food for farting and poo consistency but none of them were working despite advertising these benefits. This food is sustainable and great for him, no more farting and very good consistency for collection 🙃

Tastier insect food than other brands
Insect food is great for my dogs sensitive belly. I found this online and she much prefers this flavour to the previous brand I've been using. Thanks

The dog prefers this to the expensive food she used to get
I was a bit apprehensive at first because of the size of the bag. My dog is a really fussy eater. We can fill her bowl and the food would still be there 3 days later if she’s not hungry. When I first started her on this I mixed it with her regular (more expensive) food. She started picking out the expensive stuff and dropping it on the floor so she could get at this one.Since then she seems to be much brighter and she is drinking less so I think there is less salt than in the old food. One problem is with storage. Even though the food is dry to touch, there is a residue that leaks through the bag so we’ve had to buy a food bin to hold it

Too crunchy
Our dog wasn't keen. Took a long time for him to get used to it. Seems too hard and overly crunchy, a lot of effort for a chihuahua!
