Shimano Acera M360 7 and 8-Speed Rear Derailleur with SmartCage, Black

If properly installed on the correct derailer hanger, and properly adjusted, this derailer will last you for several years, and works just fine despite its relatively low price. I ride my bike every day and use it as my only form of transportation. I would pay more for a rear derailer if necessary. However, this one is just fine.

I had a Shimano Tourney TX 8s derailleur on my MTB that decided it wanted to be a wheel instead of a derailleur... it didn't end well.Derailleurs are hard to come by with the explosion of biking during the pandemic, especially 8s and 9s derailleurs. This option allowed me to get back on the trails about 2 weeks ahead of what my LBS was offering. In addition, this was about the same price as buying a Tourney TX 8s derailleur, so I got to upgrade for about the same price as repairing to the same quality.I've been very happy with its performance, but I should say that this is an entry level derailleur. I am looking to upgrade my whole MTB in the future. If you're looking for upgrades to this, I'd look to Deore (Shimano) or if you can make the jump, go for entry level SRAM. Just be careful with what shifters you've got on your bike because each brand pulls a different amount of cable (so it is unlikely to be compatible if the brand doesn't match)!

Bought this to fix a friend's Wal-Mart Mongoose MTB (completely made in China garbage), that the stock one fell apart on. Made for a very nice and easily tuned upgrade. Unbeatable for the price, hopefully will last for years to come.

There's not much to say about this, it's a derailleur, so here's a point list.*It's easy to install.*The adjustments on this derailleur are very good, it's unlikely you'll need to re-seat the cable during install with how much adjustment can be made on this.*It has a good feel to it and has a break point (plastic bolt) to protect the derailleur in event of an accident.*It's cheap.If this is your first derailleur install, it's very easy but there aren't any instructions with this derailleur. If you go on YouTube and spend a little time messing with the adjustments you'll have this thing installed and working in no time, but be prepared for a lot of back-and-forth tuning if you're not used to it.Overall I'm giving it a 5 star rating because it does exactly what it says, with a good overall quality, easy adjustment, and a cost that will make your wallet thank you. Obviously there are better derailleurs but when you factor in their prices and the quality of this I think it's a hard sell to get anything else as a general cyclist.

They sent the updated version of the M360, which is the M3020... its better and new version of the Acera, so no complaints

Okay sums it up. If you're stuck with a 7 or 8 speed, high quality components aren't really available anymore, and for the most part, that's fine. Sadly, too many cheap bikes are being sold still in 7 and 8 speed configurations. Shifts poorly under load, needs to be adjusted regularly. That being said, I'm 180 lb, 6' and riding as a coach with a high school mountain bike team using a "throwaway" bike. I had to replace a broken hanger and derailleur a couple times now. Next time I'm going for a 9-speed upgrade and handing the bike down to my 13 year old when he joins the Jr. Devo team.

Excelente producto y calidad

I am replacing like for like. This was the original derailer for my bike that kept serving me well and problem-free for close to 10 years. I never had problems with it, shifting was always fast, easy and reliable. Once adjusted it, it stayed so for the whole season, so now that the old one is rusted (and still working) I just got another one like it. To be fair there wasn't a whole lot of a choice out there: there is this, there is the Altus one (which I hear is great too), the Tourney one (which is a step down), and a whole bunch of knock-offs. I just stuck with what I know works really well on my bike. At this price point there is no reason to get anything else.Oh, bad shifting is sometimes caused by rusted and old cables and housings. You will be surprised how much of a difference new cabling makes.

Dérailleur excellent pour promenade VTT tranquille.Un peu léger pour pratique VTT plus musclée.Il tient le choc mais finit par prendre un jeu important.
