Good office, daily carry option.
Sharp knife... recommend it for average carry.. comes sharp. Price to reward ratio in mo opinion is good.

Buy it. Keep it. Love it.
I give this knife five stars as though I never touched the Ontario Rat 1. It is a great knife for me. I have xl hands and enjoy a sizable blade in my hand. This blade fits the bill. I use it for everyday tasks; cutting down boxes at work and basic slicing in the kitchen. It, barely, fits nicer in the pocket than my Rat One. I'm not nuts about the texture of the scales. Oddly, I grab it more often than I grab my Rat One, which I will defend as being the better knife. The Rat has a visually obtuse blade shape and the grip, as stated earlier, is wider. The Ontario is the knife I want when I'm caught with my pants down, but the Avispa makes me want to carry it daily. Thank God they're only $20 blades and we don't have to chose between them...

Decent EDC With A Few Troubles
Well it ain't no Benchmade. It's not even a US made Kershaw, but it was cheap in today's money. I needed a larger EDC for around the farm and it has decent stainless steel construction with no black coating to wear off. I'll keep it. I like to wear a knife tip up for quick access and deployment, hopefully with one hand. After flipping it open a few times, I changed the pocket clip to the correct end for me. Hmm. All of the sudden the knife no longer opens. Could barely pull it open from the blade itself. The pocket clip puts pressure on the latch, but I think the hole that catches the blade is the culprit. I ground that down some and it helped, but the hole still catches it. That'll need worried with to fix it. So it's not a one hander. And all of the small handle screws were fairly loose. You'll need a T-06 for those and the clip. Edit: I fixed the one hand opening troubles. Pulled the blade and worried out the locking hole with a motor tool and small round cutter. Teflon grease on the slide and around the washers makes it flip open like butter. No sense in putting an opening stud on a knife that can't be opened with the stud! Large nail pull would've been more useful. But she sings now! Quite sharp and I like the blade shape. Nice and heavy. Should cut small tree limbs. If I break it, no big loss.

Excellent value
I really like this folder I just received! I gave my benchmade gripptillian to a cousin in-law out of drunken disbelief that he didn’t carry anything. Hard to say if it’s lighter than the griptillian but it’s overall thinner and opens quicker and easier. Fits in my hand really well with thumb on the jibs. Wish it came in a orange like the griptillian so I don’t lose it but at this price it’s a great value! Shaving your arm out of the box is no problem.

Not a good design
I bought this knife to replace my Rat 1, I love my 2 esee fixed blades (esee 6 and izula) but this knife is not good. The knife has holes for left or right hand carry, but bolts only long enough for the right hand carry side, and lord forbid you want to carry your knife in the tip up position (like I like to carry my knife) cause the clip rides the frame lock and makes it almost impossible to open and close 1 handed, the size is almost identical to a rat 1 this one's just slightly slimmer, it's riding on brass washers which isn't as smooth as the rat 1 in this case (mostly due to the frame lock), but the knife looks good and comes in sharp, that's the only 2 good things about it. Tl;dr-if you are right handed, like tip down carry, and big knifes buy this knife, if not buy a rat 1 or rat 2

Great quality for price
Blade centering is dead on and no blade play. Doesn’t fit in my pocket cause Women’s pants often don’t have deep pockets or are sewn shut for some God awful reason. If female I recommend getting a nylon or canvas belt pouch for it, that’s what I chose. Great edc!

Ok for the money but prefer the rat
I have to admit I’m underwhelmed by the avispa. As other review’s mentioned the action is pretty stiff at first but breaks in over time. It still misfires every once in a while. The edge retention was so so. I know it’s aus 8 like it’s rat counterpart but I always had better luck with my rats. Shame, I really wanted to like it but for now it lives in a drawer.
