Cartoonist Meredith McClaren (Hinges) tells five short, sexy stories featuring superheroes, supervillains, sidekicks, and the people who love them. Showing consent and character-driven erotic relationships, Super Fun Sexy Times answers the age-old question: what happens when the mask comes off? Two sidekicks on opposite sides get stuck in an underground lab together, and find a great way to pass the time. A tactician and superhero discuss their desires, limits, and kinks before their first time, and perhaps get a little too excited in the process. A pair of supervillains explore gender and sex together, while growing closer in their relationship. Lesbian heroes try out a kinky rolepaying scenario, and discover how to make it work for both of them. And an exhausted assassin relaxes after a long day with the kind (yet firm) attentions of his husband. Told with care, sex-positivity, and humor, and featuring a wide variety of sexualities and bodies, Super Fun Sexy Times aims to create an erotic reading experience that lives up to its name! Review: Super Fun with Sexy Consent - I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book so much I bought it for my best friend and I'm soon going to have to buy myself a copy as well. This book was one of those books that just kept popping up every time I browsed NetGalley. I admit I was a little hesitant to read it simply because I didn’t think it could live up to what I expected. Luckily, I finally decided to take the plunge with this book and I was not disappointed. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS GRAPHIC NOVEL. Obviously, caps-lock was needed. Super Fun Sexy Times by Meredith McClaren is not your typical graphic novel, nor is it something that is going to be for everyone. It’s graphic, and I do mean graphic, so take that into consideration. You will see x-rated pictures, so I recommend this book for the 18+ age group. It’s also not a book you’re going to be able to read out in public, around family, or at work (seriously, don’t read this at work). The artwork is beautifully done, but the content is what makes this graphic novel stand out. This book is practically a how-to novel on talking to your partners about sex, your wants, and your needs. The best part about this book is that fact that it features consent, sweet, fun, and sexy consent. I loved that we saw characters negotiating role play scenes & realistically talking about sex. I also truly appreciated how inclusive this book was. You have people of all shapes, sizes, sexual orientation, etc. which made me want to cry with how beautiful it was. This is definitely a book I would recommend to the right reader. It is well worth the read & a book that I’m going to have to buy a hard copy of. It’s phenomenal. If this book sounds like your kind of read, you need to pick it up! It’s one of my favorite books I have read this year. Review: Unique fun concept, short - Fun and original idea for a collection of short graphic stories! The artwork is very cute, and the story telling is good. The content is super inclusive and sex-positive! It is even has moments of humor mixed with the sexy. I would have loved to read more about the characters, though some of the descriptions could have used a little more work. Overall I was sad at how very short it was, especially for the price. For me it was about a 15min one-time read for almost $13. I appreciate that the authors put a lot of work into it, but the value was just a little off for me.

Very sexy, but also very human
This book was every bit as hot and sexy as I expected it to be. Meredith McClaren's art style works very well with these five stories as well. What I was surprised by was just how touching the stories were, all different variations on humans going through the effort of forming connections with their partner. Really enjoyed it.

A Clever Collection
The graphic novel featured pleasant artwork that was unique enough to be fun. The super hero names weren't the most original, but they did the job. WORSE CASE SCENARIO - This was quite good, funny too. Arousing as well. I don't typically read male/male but this one was good. Nice dialogue. Very sweet. THE PRE-F*** - I loved this one. So pure and innocent, but at the same time completely filthy. It was a subtle blending of both which is often easier said than done. Nice job by the writer there. Hats off to her. GOOD FOUNDATIONS - It was sweet. That's really all I'm gonna say about it. It was really very sweet. SAFE - Nice, realistic role-playing. It was so true to life and so funny and sweet and innocent. I really enjoyed it. THE RESPONSIBLE PARTIES - I know I've typed 'sweet' quite a few times now, but really these stories are very sweet, and this one isn't an exception. It's quite good. Very romantic and pure considering what one of the characters does for a living. Thanks to NetGalley and Oni Press for providing me with a DRC of this book.

Fantastic
This was such a joy to read that I went back and started it from the beginning the day after I read the last story. The characters are so endearing and connection between them are so real you can feel it. I hope there are many more editions of this, hopefully exploring other relationship dynamics.

The best, most relatable sex with heroes you'ee likely to find
If you've gotten to reviews then you know the premise of the book. Yes, it is good. Each set of characters only gets a limited number of pages to set themselves up and McClaren did an amazing job of it. The actual sex part is occasionally understated, but the couples feel natural and real. The art is also understated, but easy to follow. It was rather nice to see normal body types and both heterosexual and LGBTQ couples as well. Honestly, I would buy regular comics featuring all the characters in this. I am very sad that those comics don't exist and there is no sequel to this. Yet. The one on the spine gives me hope.

A clever concepts. Body positive, inclusive, and BTW sexy
Author and illustrator Meredith McClaren has shared with us the real secrets of the men and women in tights. What are they looking for when they want, as per the title: Super Fun Sexy Times. Yes, this is adult material, but between the pastel colors and the rather carefully drawn encounters this is not anatomical porn, just super-powered people Doin' what comes naturally. The concept is cleaver and the execution is good natured. It cannot be that much of a stretch that men comfortable in body hugging super suits, might be best able to relax in more lacy things. There has been speculation for years that some of the dynamic duos had to have some connection more male than just bro bonding. Women super heroes have their space and they can be vulnerable and open with same sex and opposite sex regular type people. And after all, after working all day being the master of everyone evil, maybe a good way to balance yourself is a little very friendly submission. There are 5 story lines in my copy, which is labeled a preview copy. The stories introduce a number of characters with little room for development. Each story is self-contained but a way is left open for further adventures. From what I can tell this is only glimpse we get of super people in their getting off hours.

Impatiently waiting for volume 2
I have been introduced to gold. This is a comic of short stories with villains, super heroes and scientists. The stories cover hookups, couples, bdsm, and a good time. This is a world that all adults should be aware of, The book ended much too soon. Do yourself a favor, read this book with your partner, and enjoy the super sexy fun that is sure to occur upon reading.

Real Heart, Not Just Sex
It's a grown-up book about real superheroes and villains having grown-up sexual relationships, with all the embarrassment and opening up that goes along with it. This is about healthy relationships between consenting adults: don't buy it if you're just looking for porn without plot or some bondage/rape/impregnation fantasy. Things get explicit, but it's about the journey to bone town as much as the destination. Also, the proportions are realistic (as opposed to women with ridiculously huge breasts and waspish waists and dudes that look like bodybuilders in costumes that were painted on), and while some of the characters obviously owe a debt to specific genre figures, they aren't pornographic parodies of any existing superhero. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by both Meredith McClaren's writing and artwork on this; lots of light, open spaces, the colors and shapes very clear, the text boxes and balloons easy to read. While I hadn't heard of her before this, I'll certainly be on the lookout for more of her work from now on.
