They work well, and as expected for my setup.
They work well, I fitted mine without the spikes, hot glued on top of 6" Net cup lids in a 5 gallon pail setup (4 of them), so they sit flush. They water right on the outside of the medium (soil) and they are on a ART DNE type timer system with drains. Five gallon pails because it makes for more room and time if things go wrong. For me they perform their task well as I live alone and am away driving a Big truck for 8-12 days at a time. Beats a plant sitter. These things allow me to just come home and prune, tweak and fuss and let me enjoy the Berries, Green Onions and what ever else I have going on. The Garlic doesn't need them, they are a lot slower and are on their own in self contained pails, no flood and drain, just single pails in a DWC. All of this inside the house for all the same reasons. Different drain rates for those Greens that need it and I'm rolling! The rings are convenient and feel good and sturdy, we'll see how they do in a while, sofar one trip and home without problems. I'd recommend them even just because they work good. Hope that helps.

Perfect companion with Hydroton Clay Balls
Can't imagine a more perfect constant water source for plant pots using clay balls. They're a little difficult to sanitize after use, but after a 24 hour soak in 10% solution of peroxide and using air to clean out the pores, they are like new and ready for the next grow. These are excellent. The one draw back I have is the price (which isn't that bad) which is slightly more than another brand that does the same excellent job.

Finally Found a Perfect Hydroponic Plant Feeder
Finally Found a Perfect Hydroponic Plant Feeder These are the perfect solution to water my plants, which are in 8" net-pot lids for 5-gallon buckets and filled with expanded-clay beads (Hydroton). I tried lots of other home-made watering arrangements with drip-irrigation components and nozzles, but when I bought a few in a local "grow yer' own" hydroponics supply store and tried them out, I just had to stock up from Amazon to make sure all my plants were so well-equipped. I see that they are also available in other sizes, too, but these are just right for me - and easy to hook-up and install. The ring is flexible enough to twist in order to get it to fit around larger trunks without cracking or breaking, and the plastic stakes are even more flexible but stiff enough to be pushed down into the Hydroton beads without fear of breaking. Since they don't present any back-pressure to my hydroponic pump, they might not allow you to use a combination of these with pressure-fed mini-sprinklers and drip nozzles because they flow so freely. I use a repurposed aquarium pump/filter setup (Penn-Plax), so I'm not concerned with the nozzles getting clogged up either.

Inconsistent hole sizes and pattern
Bought 3 of these for my plants. When comparing all 3 against each other, the holes on each were very inconsistent and poorly drilled. The holes were not evenly sized or in uniform rows. This could prevent water from flowing evenly. Ultimately, they will do the job but if I were to do this again, I’d go with another product that has a better focus on quality and consistency.

Saves time, money. And solutions...easy to fit prerfect
Saw these and realized they would be a very easy solution to my top watering problem. Some of our orchards a in deeper reaches of the space and by assigning these rings to plants and groups we can keep the process moving well. I hav read some people saying the clog but I have not yet had any clogging. I suggest they. Look into the disolved content I ,of thier fertilize or nutrient concentration. So them, drill the hole out slightly.the rest of at larger. Never clogged

Good idea. Wish it worked.
Notice that the opening is so small that once the plant is enclosed inside and quickly outgrows the opening, the only way you can move or remove it is to destroy the plant, which makes it risky to use. Summary: A good idea but a lousy, lousy, lousy design. That's a shame since I was looking forward to using 4 of them. Returned.

Good value, bad math
Product is what you’d expect for the money, but I only received 2 of the 3 that I ordered. Coming up on a couple months now, no word, no update, no easy way to reach out. I’ll be hitting my local grow store from now on, like the other local stores I seem to be hitting more often lately. Your mileage, and math, may vary, mine is still coming up one short.

I purchased 2 of these and then purchased 2 more. They are perfect for my autowatering setup. No issues with clogging, even water distribution throughout the ring. I have NEVER had leakage problems once. Make sure you use the right tubing and don't try to push too much water through it at once. Works great with a $15 pawfly water pump.

I already have a 9" halo that worked great in the past, so I bought the 6" this time. Arrived alright. Upon closer inspection, as you can see in the pictures, the holes needed a bit of tweaking and I don't have a dremel, so it was a bit of a PITA, but manageable. I'm guessing it happens with pouring molten plastic in a mold, the 9" one didn't have this problem. I'll be buying the 12" in a few months as well. Im happy with the product despite this little nuance.

Löcher sind nicht sehr gut gebohrt. Somit spritzt das Wasser nicht gleichmäßig aus dem Ring.
