Q: How small is the carrying pouch it comes with? I'm looking for a jacket I can throw in my backpack for long runs in case of rain.

It’s pretty small, about 8 inches long and compact. It should be great! I wore it often in Ireland and it worked great.The rain never soaked through , however it’s not warm.
