Worth the price! They really do freeze in about 30min and stayed cold in the cooler for over 2 days (in the Florida heat) outside. The packs had mostly thawed by the time we got home on day 3, but were still cold enough to keep the remining food and drinks the same cold temperature. The XL size is perfect, and we lined the bottom and two sides of our medium Orca cooler, and then the 4th piece went on the top. We also put in some smaller ice packs to go between the soda cans and food items, but having the Kona ice packs as the wall was perfect. I also really like that they are super thin, so it was easy to find space in our home freezer for them, didn't even have to re-arrange anything (like I do with the normal ice packs, haha). After our first run with these, zero leaks, and the walls of the packs seem thick enough to resist any sort of punctures. We typically use the plastic bag version of ice packs for the thinner aspect, but those are so fragile and don't stay frozen very long. Nope, never again! I really like these Kona packs and will look into buying the smaller ones for our smaller coolers.

I was facilitating an event with a large amount of catered food. The venue did not have AC and temperatures the day of the event were being forecast for 92 degrees or higher. Not only did the Kona Large Ice Packs keep the food cold, they lasted throughout the entire afternoon. They saved the day! If you need to keep food cold, these ice packs are well worth the money. They arrived in sealed packets with an additional storage bag so you can store them and reuse them again and again. Kona brand thought of everything! They fit nicely into the coolers and they have an excellent design and structure. They froze quickly and stayed frozen well beyond the time needed for the event. GREAT PRODUCT!

Used these in our cooler bags to haul refrigerated items - dairy, oj, cold cuts, cheese, wine, soft drinks - for a 4-hour drive to the beach. Kept items ice cold for the duration -- no seeming loss of coldness and saved us space in the bag (although they were too wide to fit the bag's dimension, they stood on their side and the narrowness saved us considerable space. They took about 40 minutes to freeze from room temp, but we appreciated the shorter time vs the larger blue square and thick ice packs. During the trip, we bought fresh, boneless, skinless chicken that we were unable to grill, so we put it in a ziploc freezer bag, froze it overnight, then packed it with these ice packs (one on either side of the package of chicken). It was ROCK SOLID still frozen when we arrived home - about 3.75 hours. Highly recommend these for their slim size and cold-holding quality. They are pricey, so we're hoping they'll be durable and functional for years to come

Slim and retains cold very well. Use it every time I go to Costco to keep things cold while shopping.

I like the thinness of this freezer pack, and it freezes well without taking up much space. I use it in my car to keep items cold when I drive home from the grocery store. I also use it for table-top foods that need to stay cold for get-togethers occasionally. Very attractive color and quality. It's nicely priced as well.

I got tired of having to dig through ice in my cooler trying to find a drink. Did some research and came across these ice packs. And they are AWESOME! They are compact. They freeze quickly. And they keep stuff cold in my freezer for long periods of time. Wonderful product!!

I was asked to bring some sandwiches to a party. I knew their refrigerator space was limited and food would be served “grazing” style, so it would be sitting out for at least an hour. I bought these to put under the sandwich tray while they were out on the table. They worked great! Because they’re flat and fairly thin, the tray sat easily on top of them. The ice packs stayed very cold for several hours and kept the sandwiches cold and safe to eat! I also have used these at home to help chill leftovers quickly before I refrigerate them. They don’t take up much room in my freezer and are super handy to have on hand. I highly recommend them!

It's 12.5 inches, but if you intend putting it in a cooler divider channel that's 13 inches it slides out.

I tested them, froze them got some beer cold in the fridge. Threw the beer in my cooler bag and put the ice packs in at 11 at night. 1 pm next day they were thawed of course.. but still cold and my beer was still really cold. Worth every penny. Very thin, easy for store come in nice quality zip lock bag.

The size is very convenient. They do not take up a lot of room and freeze quickly. Didn’t give a 5/5 only because they do not stay cold as long as a thicker ice pack would.

Exactly as described! Had them for an anniversary luncheon kept the meat and cheeses perfect stayed cool . They stay flat so dishes don’t slide off! I would recommend this product as excellent!

Amazing. Word of advice, leave them in their plastic wrap so they don't sweat as they thaw.
