The ancient teachings of the Mayans speak about a shift in time quality which took place on December 21st in the year 2012. On and around this date, on the islands Isla del Sol (island of the sun) and Isla de la Luna (island of the moon), two small islands within lake Titicaca at Peru, the indigene people held mystical rites to support this shift of the earth energy. It is told that the kundalini, the vibrational power of the earth, the pachamama, has been moving from the east to the southern west, and so would the dynamics on the planet shift. The masculine force that regened this planet alone for many thousand years would on this date and within those ancient rites give the power back to the divine feminine, and the balance within the feminine and the masculine would be restored on this planet. Honoring the ancient indigene wisdom of the Maya and Inca tradition, I created the mandala artworks Isla del Sol and Isla de la Luna, two mandalas richly decorated with symbolism in deep blue and bright gold or soft silver.
