I have a 15" Macbook Pro Retina.. I put my macbook into the "Thule Gauntlet" sleeve and then put that combo into this sleeve... because when you're talking about a $3500 laptop.. you just can be to careful. They all fit like they were made for each other. MAX protection! Woo! .. And if your really a nut like me.. you'll grab the OGIO all weather backpack for transport. :)

As a techie, I have different laptops that I carry around all the time. Usually, I'll dump them into a backpack, which may or may not be suitable for carrying laptops. Now that I have this laptop case, I can fit even my larger laptops into it with ease! The dual zippers are nice to have, and I can carry it by itself, or slip it into a backpack to provide the proper protection.

It does what I got it for: to provide a little cushioning in my backpack. The smell went away in a week or two. It is well made. I've used it for a few weeks and it looks like new. It is thin yet provides some cushoning, but not like a heafty lap top case would. I do not know if it is waterproof.

Good quality sleeve, but a bit too big for a MacBook Pro Retina 15 inch.
