I purchased this in the beginning of April and have been using it 1-2 times a week since then. I love this mask and it’s my favorite of all time. It has a wonderful earthy spa smell. The texture is thick but it spreads very easily and you can coat your whole face. I’m not even halfway through the jar yet. It leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. I got it to try to make the effects of a facial last longer and it has really done the job. I have struggled with acne since I was 8 years old. I recently focused my skincare regimen on using more natural products without salicylic acid and it has definitely helped.The only con is when you put the mask on it does burn a little bit but quickly fades. I think my skin has been desensitized over time due to all the harsh skincare fixes I have attempted over the years. This means it may burn more for people with more sensitive skin. This product definitely works for me and I love it but I could see where it would not be a good fit for everyone.

I was kind of skeptical of this mask at first, just because there's SO many out there to choose from. I got this one on sale and am SO glad. It made my face So smooth, which I didn't really expect considering I have fairly dry skin to begin with. Which leads me to the BEST part about this mask. When it dries on your face, it doesn't dry your face out. While most clay-based masks start to crack and tighten, this one does not, which is strange - but in the best way possible. I LOVE that. My roommate also used it and loved the way it dried too. A little bit of this stuff really does go a long way. And it smells great! I also love that after using this mask, I don't need to exfoliate, and I can tell a SLIGHT difference in how hydrated my skin is (I have dry skin to begin with). Also. Keep in mind that I have sensitive skin. Yes, the first time or two this tingles a bit, but it by no means HURTS, which is a HUGE plus for me. Would totally recommend!

I did TONS of research on this charcoal mud mask "craze". Read the reviews on here, said a prayer and ordered it. I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! Ok well I've only used it twice, but I could most definitely see a difference. This might be my saving grace here. It did seem to sting/burn for a few seconds but it went away. A little goes a LONG way! You're suppose to wait 15 min, then rinse off, but the other night it seemed to be flaking by that time as I was mutitasking. Saw little black dots all over the place, lol. As someone else mentioned, USE A DARK WASH RAG! You'll thank me later ;) And it does get everywhere if you're rinsing in the sink, but it's nothing that some bathroom cleaner can't quickly fix. Pricey in my opinion, but well worth it. :D

I've pampered with the highest quality products and I seen this and the great value and size, instantly new I needed this as I am in AZ and I'm 46 now so, my pores and pollutants need attention! I put a tiny bit on my inner wrist to make sure it didn't burn/sting (which can be NORMAL! That just means it's working) I loved the packaging, sealed very well and smells good too! Now did the mask work? YES! It was a great pampering night. My pores look much smaller and it drew out all the gross blackheads and all- I followed with a great moisturizer! You must do that as your skin needs that back! If you don't do it right, you may not have the best experience. I HIGHLY suggest grabbing a nice jar of this! It will last you awhile as well. Use it sparingly and only 2X a week or as neeed. Love it!

This mask is really nice. It has a nice, calming smell to it. It does leave your face feeling nice and doesn't dry it out but it can cause dead skin to show more. Using an exfoliating scrub afterwards helps with that. It made my face tingle when I applied it but it was funny type tingle. I do have sensitive, oily skin and had no problems using with the mask ingredients. It's good for a personal spa treatment type experience. However if you are looking for a mask for acne, I wouldn't recommend this one. Something like Botanics Shine Away Ionic clay mask would be much better since it does draw the oils out and reduces pore size and well worth the money despite being small in size. I gave this 5 stars because my friends and I enjoy using the mask when we hang out to relax at home.

I was using another charcoal mask, but I left the top off for a couple days and it started to mold. This one looked similar in ingredients and packaging, but honestly it’s not the same. This one would be okay, but it leaves some kind of weird film on my face after its rubbed off. The product didn’t come with detailed instructions on how to wash it off, but I rub it off for the exfoliation and then rinse and wash with a rag and African black soap. My other masked worked perfectly for this. This product still leaves my face bright and clear, but the film is weird and clogs my pores.

I have used this product about 5 times now and each time I use it, my face does burn for about 30 seconds but then is fine the rest of the time. I don't have very sensitive skin so I was surprised by this. But after each use, it seems to be a little better and less burning. BUT I think this product is so great that it outweighs small amount burning. I usually wash my face at night, put it on, and wash it off around 15 minutes later as instructed followed by moisturizer. My face feels SOO soft even the next morning. I would definitely recommend but do be warned it might burn a little bit.

i’ve bought this mask twice now and each time it has lasted over a year! i love it. i don’t necessarily know what it does to my skin, but i feel so clean after using it. i use it every sunday, and it makes my skin look amazing all week. definitely buying again.also a little tip. if you mix the mask with some water to make it less thick, it does on way easier
