Best Socks Ever
These socks are FANTASTIC for around the house as well as to the beach or in the water. They protect the soles of your feet without having to sacrifice comfort. I wore them outside last night, and I do have to say, they did NOT keep my feet very warm but that's to be expected.

Quality and comfort
I love these! They are now my everyday shoes in the house and outside. Sole is thick rubber and waterproof. Tops and sides are breathable fabric. Best thing yet, my cat and dog hair do not stick to them like wearing regular socks.

I can make it work for beach volleyball
Update #2:After using them on a more consistent basis, I found a happy but not ideal equilibrium. After rain (with wet or slightly wet sand), I use the Randy Sun. The rubber sole is sturdy enough to not wear a hole. When it hasn't rained for a while (with completely dry sand), I use normal sand socks. The Randy Sun lets in too much sand when the sand is completely dry. I still wear a hole with my normal sand socks, but at about twice the number of days. If it rains a few times a month, I may wear a hole in my normal sand socks in 8 weeks instead of 4 weeks if I play once a week. I am happy that I am spending less money on sand socks, but not so happy that I can't wear the Randy Sun all the time. So I recommend using the Randy Sun (high top) along with normal sand socks depending on the situation. I raise one star for Randy Sun to four stars.Update:I dropped 2 stars for the product, so now it is only 3 stars. I wore these socks for the first time to play in dry sand. They filled up with about a quarter pound of fine sand on each foot part way into a game. By the end of the game, I felt dragged down by the extra weight and mass. For wet, hard packed sand these socks are perfect. However, I don't think I can wear them for dry loose sand. As a comparison, I wore normal sand socks for some games and I could go on 2 or 3 games without having to empty the sand. For the Sandy Sun, I have to empty them before the end of a game. Normal sand socks are made of Lycra uppers. The Randy Sun is a cloth material which has bigger gaps - thus the reason for collection sand. Normal sand socks still wear out too quickly for me. I wish the Randy Sun (with its rubber sole) can have the upper part made of Lycra like normal sand socks.Original review:I am a high intermediate/advanced beach doubles player. My style of play requires a lot of jumping, quick start/stops and diving. Normal sand socks wear out quickly. Usually on the first wear, the beginning of a hole under the big toes will start to develop. By the 4th wear the holes will be big enough for me to throw out the sand socks. These Randy Sun sand socks, however, have a rubber sole which means no holes at all. I've only used these socks a couple of times but so far so good. Also, the thicker rubber sole provides much better insulation against the cold sand - I don't even notice the coldness. Additionally, the socks are not designated as left or right, so if a hole develops on one side, I can always switch them to the other foot.Sand does accumulate inside the socks so I empty them between games. It is kind of a hassle but normal sand socks have a similar problem. Get the high top so less sand gets in. Also, the cloth material shrinks after a cold water rinse - tight to put on when dried but loosens up a bit after some movement.

These are great!
I purchased 2 pairs of these back in 20222 to wear when I kayak. I also wear them swimming, to wash my car or do anything my feet get wet in. They have a great grip for non slip and feel like I'm wearing socks. I wear them a lot and both pairs are still holding up 2 years later!

I used them for home and it didn't work
I bought them for home, not the beach and didn't think that they were comfortable or warm. But they are for the beach so that shouldn't matter. Wearing them at home I would trip a lot when the plastic soles stuck to the carpet.

Horrible.
Don't waste your time. They look good online, but --- I had high hopes for these swim socks because they covered my somewhat fat ankles. But then they arrived today, and they looked awful. I could not even tell which sock belonged on which foot. One looked like it went on the left foot, but when I put it on, it looked horrible, so I switched feet and it still looked awful. Then, the shoes were bunched up and had a fold in the middle. I'll stick to the regular swim shoes. These are going back today.

my feet feel free
One caveat: I'm mobility impaired, so I don't walk a lot, but I'm also in a lot of pain, much of it coming from my feet.I wanted some very simple shoes to wear outside, and I was simply fed up with all the so-called "supportive" shoes out there. My feet just don't fit into a lot of them very well, and I wind up with cramping before I even get a block away from the house. These fit like compression socks. The soles are not quite an exact match - I had to size up for width, so the soles are a bit long for me. But that is ok with these because there is no arch and no toe-box to deal with. It's just a sock with a rubber (silicon?) sole on it. I feel loads more comfortable walking in these; they help me walk more mindfully and my feet just feel more free.I looked for a pair of those trendy five-finger shoes or zero-rise shoes that have hit the market, and I couldn't see spending the money, which is why I decided to start with this cheap alternative. So far, I feel like this is all I will ever want.

Hazards of Walking Barefoot
OMG !! LOVE These !! I wear them Everyday around my home. No problems with walking on Hot Pavement, stones or driveway ! I've recommended these to friends !! Great Product ! They Fit Perfectly, I'm glad I bought the size mediums ! ** I just received my 'socks' today and I am trying them out. My husband always reprimands me for walking 'barefoot' outside due to Red Ants and other hazards. If I wear socks outside they always end up with holes! I wanted to try these out and see how they work. I usually wear a woman's size 8-8 1/2 but because of the reviews and measuring my foot I ordered the Size Medium instead of Large. I'm not sure if that was the right choice ? My great toe is protruding at the end and I'm concerned that it will tear through due to my Nails ?! I'll have wear theses socks for awhile and see how they do. Also the band around my ankle is quite snug, maybe it's meant to be that way to prevent slipping off? (And No, I do not have Fat Ankles!) ☺️

Everyone should have them
This is a great product that everyone should have. I do metal detecting on our beaches and the sand is full of metal, nails, spikes, fishing hooks and slag.Unlike water shoes these socks look and feel like socks. Comfort for sure and a protected bottom that’s not bulky

Exactly as Shown!
I bought these beach socks to swim in the ocean at a rocky beach. The came nicely packaged with a handy nylon travel bag. I am a size 7 so I selected a size medium. They fit perfectly. The bottoms are made of a tacky rubber like material that bends and flexes; the top is a soft man-made material in a fun pattern. I like the lower cut as I will be wearing it with a bathing suit. Definitely happy with this purchase!

Excited for Summer!
I'm a size 7 foot and bought the small. These fit great and will be perfect for paddleboarding this summer. I have to do a small portage over a road to get to the big side of the lake so this will save my feet!

Sizing was an issue, seems like a good product
I wear a size 9½ shoe/boot, medium in these didn't fit so I gave them to a girlfriend who wears a women's size 8 and they fit her well. The soles seem to made of a decent material, I'll try a large next.
