You can actually see what you're doing..
Game-changer! This welding helmet is so much better than the previous arccaptain auto dimming helmet I bought. You get what you pay for; the Lincoln isn't cheap but you get a helmet that adjusts and fits well, is comfortable, and most importantly you can actually see what you're doing. It has several options for dimming and it was easy to find a setting where I could see much better and still retain proper safety. The electronics are also smarter than the arccaptain and it can distinguish between bright LED ceiling lights and a welding arc, which is something the "captain" can't do. Glad I bought this.

Superb welding helmet. Many features for a reasonable price.
I rarely leave a product review but this welding helmet is the best one I have ever purchased. The features I find exemplary of this helmet include:-Best quality in terms of visibility I have worked with. Is almost like night and day to other, typical welding helmets. You can clearly see your weld pool and the work piece during operation. Easily the best feature.-Fit is extremely nice. Has multiple points of adjustment and the band that is circumferential is easily adjusted with a knob adjuster.-Best price for a welding helmet with all of these features. I was able to pick this up on sale but it is on par or out competes helmets that cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars.Again, I rarely leave a review but this helmet is so nice, especially for the costs, I recommend it for amateurs and professionals alike.

Excellent!
Wow! Just got it and had to play, this is such an upgrade from my Harbor Freight auto helmet, it's not even anywhere close. Should have spent the money years ago! It comes with all kind of goodies, extra lenses and a real instruction book! Plus a very nice storage bag! Very high quality build and very comfortable! Worth every penny!

NIce helmet, very clear and large view.
This helmet is a huge upgrade from my old Miller. I needed the larger viewing area because I wear bifocals. The view is a lot clearer than the Miller too.I added a 2x magnifier lens that slipped right in and I can finally see to weld again.

Professional grade quality & performance
I purchased this helmet to replace a HF Vulcan ArcSafe which I had used for 2+ years before it developed chronic arc flashes. I am a DIY’er and TIG weld as a hobby. I am also very highly concerned about personal eye protection and safety.I definitely wanted an upgrade over the Harbor Freight level helmets and I selected the Lincoln Electric 3350 helmet after researching and reading multiple reviews on comparably priced helmets.Although this is among the higher priced helmets, when it comes to maintaining and protecting your vision, it is still less than half the cost of a pair of prescription glasses with multi focal lens.Once adjusted for fit and after performing several test welds, I can attest that the 3350 is on a distinctly higher level of quality, comfort and performance than any entry level or sub $200 helmet you would chose to compare.During my research on alternative helmets I saw some claims being made on YouTube and elsewhere that the HF Vulcan ArcSafe is a rebranded and lower priced Lincoln Electric 3350. This is categorically untrue.I have now owned both and, while the HF fulfills a particular market niche, it is flimsy, Ill fitting, and reduced to a throwaway once the auto darkening lens stops working.

Amazing Warranty!
I bought this 4 years ago and it will not keep a battery. I have to replace the battery every time I go to use it. The only way around it is to leave it out in the sun everyday all day. It is so aggravating to spend this much money and not last. I am not using it commercial use, so it is still in good shape. I just replaced the lenses for the first time. UPDATE: Chatted with Lincoln on their website withing a couple minutes the woman said she was shipping me a new lens! That is customer service!

lightest hood on the market
best hood on the market for mig welding steel, fits a half face respirator with pancake filters just fine.ive used it for tig welding it has nice clarity and good color too. i like the color more than my speedglas 9100xxiOnly reason its 4 instead of 5 is because when welding over 275amps or so you want shade 14 and i keep mine pinned on 13 unless welding thin exhaust tubingthe lenses are generic and cheap unlike all the other companies making premium hoods.the price is unbearable, but yet i have 2 of these and use them every day. like I said I just want it to go to shade 14
