Casper Element Mattress, Twin, 2019 Edition

Good support for average person, some chemical smell but after 2 days gone, nice cover and washable. I would add a non-slip surface to the underside of cover, because if you don't have the mattress completely framed in on all 4 sides it slides off the bed frame.

Purchased this for my guest room to replace an old rattan couch that I slept on often. Had developed bursitis in my hip severe enough to send me to three months of physical therapy. After the first night sleeping on my Casper, my hip pain was noticeably improved. Two weeks of sleeping on the Casper and I am able to stop the therapy. The support it provides has been a huge boost to my therapy and I love it so much I am ordering the queen size to replace our bed (so I can join my husband again!). I didn't think our bed was really uncomfortable until I got the Casper. Excellent mattress!

I only gave this 4 stars because because after 8 months, the chemical smell is still there. It is not overpowering, but the smell is strong enough that it transfers to your sheets and blankets as well. Otherwise it is comfortable.Update July 2021: still giving off chemical smell. Still makes clothes, bedding and yes, even the cat smell faintly like a chemicals. I am downgrading to 3 stars for the smell.

Mattress is comfortable enough, but never expanded to 11" , only to 10" and some areas only 9 1/2 ,was there not enough foam or did it just not expand all the way ?

I’m happy with my mattress even though it’s a bit firm. I awake with shoulder pain but it may be related to my previous rotator cuff repairs. I would buy the Casper for sure but maybe a slightly softer version.

It was too soft for me so I had to return it. I wanted to like it, it seemed like a good product, but my back did not agree.

The only complaint is this mattress sleeps extremely hot. I bought this for my 11 year old son as an early Christmas present, but for the past 2 nights I have woke up to the AC set to 65 and the house was freezing. I am going to give it some more time, but not sure how much longer was can handle this.

This is the most comfortable mattress I've ever had. I didn't notice the smell that others have described. I don't want to ever leave the comfort of my bed again!!! I also appreciated the ease of getting this mattress up 3 narrow flights of stairs. Best mattress I could've hoped for!
