It's been so hard to find a sock that's worth a crap in decent years. Back in the day you could go to any department store, buy a pack of virtually any brand of sock and it would work fine. Nowadays they cost a fortune, the material is very thin so it breaks easily, doesn't keep your feet warm, and restrict blood flow in your feet because the band is too tight! I was desperate for a good pair of socks! These socks do have regular sock material on your feet and ankles, where the warmth matters, and then the tops of them are the more sheer nylon stuff modern socks have. BUT, they do not restrict blood flow in my feet, unlike most modern socks, and the regular sock material on the feet keeps my feet warm! Thank GOD! They've held up for months so far, none have developed holes. And the price is reasonable! The only thing, the Wander brand does indeed "wander," literally. During the day they will move on you, and the "Wander" label, that was all across the tops of your toes when you put your socks on, will "wander" during the day, and you'll see that a few of the "Wander" letters are now under your foot, as the sock has moved. BUT, it's not uncomfortable, the seam at the end of the sock is minimal, so usually you won't even notice that your sock has "wandered" during the day.

I have purchased these before and they were great this time they are thin.

Wanderer socks have a high cotton content so they keep you feet more dry and cool. The foot fabric is thicker and more comfortable to walk on and the fabric on the ankle is stretchable and not so tight it stops the blood flow. I have been wearing Gold Toe socks for many years but they have reduced the cotton percentage so much that they are uncomfortable and the elastic is so tight it leaves marks on my leg. Wanderer socks are well worth the money and wash well, with virtually no shrinkage.

The skin on my feet was getting irritated by regular socks. I noticed when I wore socks with a 90% or better cotton blend, they wouldn’t get irritated. These socks are exactly what I was looking for. They are soft, comfortable, and fit perfect.

I have slight neuropathy in my feet so I’m very particular about the way a sock fits. This sock is great in that sense as the foot portion is perfect thickness and no elastic to squeeze my foot while the leg portion is lighter cotton had has just the right amount of spandex type stretch. After buying my first package I quickly bought two more. Love these socks

The bottom is thick enough and soft, the tops however are too thin and tear in to short a period of time!

Finally - I found the perfect casual white sock. Not too tight around the calf, very soft and comfortable. I'm about to purchase my second pack! Highly recommend if you're tired of the garbage sold at Wal-Mart or Target.
