Excellent quality, good reception
Very solid billet steel, screwed right on and works great. Reception is just like with a big long antenna, and now I don't have to fear for it any time I go through a car wash.

Great looks and Quality
This is the perfect replacement for the OEM Antenna. It comes with 2 different sized threaded rods to attach to 2 different types of size and thread pitch, it is able to pick up stations well, and sounds good. It fits my 2012 Mini Cooper Perfectly.

No signal lost for the stubby!
Like other reviewers, I just wanted a shorter antenna that didn't ruin the reception. The stubby works perfectly, I ended up needing to use the screws that came with it since the OG Antenna has the screw permanently attached to it. I used the longer screw for my Mini 2026. The antenna feels very well built, I didn't get any noise while using my radio or have any problems with it.

Significantly shorter but still does the job!
This stubby antenna is perfect if you want to eliminate the OEM one that sticks up quite far. This stubby is also a good idea if you plan to go through automatic car washes or just don’t like the look of the OEM antenna. See pic for comparison.

Just short enough
I needed to reduce the height of my Mini Countryman - because I installed a 4-post lift in the garage -- mainly to be able to store a 3rd car in a 2 car garage. The OEM antennae is about 18" higher then the roof when installed -- but this one is just a few. The reception is not as good -- but being I needed the lower height -- it works.. OEM could get stations about 50miles - this one more like 30-35... But will not go back.
