Kombucha Crafter's Logbook: A Journal to Track and Record Your Kombucha Home Brews

I wasn’t sure when I purchased this book if I was going to keep it. It has some great information inside. This coupled with several YouTube videos I watched is really helping me refine my kombucha journey. I tested for the first time making a second fermentation and I’m glad I have this book for my notes. After 2 1/2 days and setting it in the freezer for 15 minutes opened a bottle one and it exploded everywhere in my kitchen. My advice would be to open outside if you’re doing this for the first time because it sprayed not only me the cabinets behind me, the shutters in the windows in front of me and the ceiling. took the remaining five bottles to the fridge and will open one tonight outside. I like the book and I’m now tracking my other batches including testing pH because I ordered those strips and I’m checking the temperature.

I haven’t used it a lot but I can see that it’s very useful. It helps you keep up with 21st you did with that particular batch so you can recreate it.

Love this book! For people like me who love to experiment with flavors, this is a great way for keeping records on your kombucha. Fantastic organization with lots of space for entering the specific of your recipe. I started with a notepad but this is far better organized and has lots of helpful info. The author has loads of info on YouTube as well. Nice book!

Still new to making my own Kombucha and this book is excellent for keeping track of what I've done that works and/or doesn't work. Highly recommend.

Very good primer on Kombucha making. Cuts to the chase and keeps it simple. Gives you the templates to document your brews which will help the new brewer by prompting them on various aspects of the brewing process and the care and development of a healthy scoby. Has various recipes and tells you the items you need to get started. It even has various useful charts the novice can use to brew produce good kombucha. My favorite chart is the pairing guide for flavoring and secondary fermentation. The possibilities are endless if someone reads this quick and easy read and follows the steps until they gain the experience to do more advanced brewing. By using the logbook you will retain lots of vital data you can refer back to again and again as well as to impart the knowledge to someone contemplating going into the craft.

I'm new to this, and by my second batch it was clear to me that I was going to need some way to keep track of what I was doing, to remember what worked and what didn't. This logbook is tremendous value for the price--beautifully laid out in a way that forces you to be organized (because I'm not), and helps you focus on what's important in your brewing. It's full of really helpful information--truly all you need to get started and keep going, though I highly recommend the author's friendly, helpful, accessible Youtube channel as well, to round out the experience. Kelly provides all those videos for free, so don't buy a used copy--buy a new copy so at least some of the proceeds go to her.

Great value for the price! As a new brewer, it has been hugely beneficial as a resource and as a way to track all the bits and bobs of what I am putting into my batch brews. It's really helping me to pay attention to details as I go, and look back on what was good (and not so good) from past brews, so I can refine my craft! Check out Angelica's YouTube channel as well, she's the best source out there, in my opinion.

I already brew kombucha, jun (green tea/honey), and water kefir. This workbook and guide answers my questions handily, and lets me keep notes so I know what I’ve tried! Written by a YouTuber, her channel is “You Brew Kombucha”, and this book is like a visitwith her. I’m going to get lots of use from it, as I experiment!

Great addition to our kranky life.If you brew you need records and I was happy to buy from the woman whose Youtube videos inspired us.

Anyone who is setting out on a kombucha home-brewing journey needs this journal. It's user-friendly; easy to work with; and entirely necessary to keep track of the various elements of the home-brewing experience. Very thoughtfully laid out. I see the value of tracking all the elements with an eye to improving batch over batch. Yet another excellent resource in the "You Brew Kombucha" toolkit. Highly recommend.
