Love making hot chocolate with this cocoa powder. It’s known to not have lead as many other cocoa products do. I warm up milk and pour some cocoa as well as maple super to sweeten it. Believe me, you will love it!

As a chocoholic, this is great stuff. Have used it for my morning hot drink for a couple of years. Initially it was given high marks for being free from Arsenic, Cadmium or Lead in high doses, but new data seems to put the Lead and Cadmium above the safety level. Found some toxin free cacao, but it has yet to arrive and don't know if I'm going to love the taste. Be forewarned, caveat emptor.

Best tasting cacao I have ever had. Love that it is ONLY ground cacao beans. I want to control the sugar, etc. I eat and this is the base for most of my smoothies - and I rarely ever even feel the need to add a sweetener (bananas and frozen berries are sweet enough). It blends easily into a smoothie as a dry ingredient in a VitaMix... BUT! it can be tough to work into a cold drink like a chocolate milk without adding *hot* water to it (heat melts the fats) or creaming it into something viscous/sticky like agave syrup first. Anyway, it's the best cacao I know of. Always want this one only.

I splurged on this thinking it was a safer cocoa alternative for my family. However, third-party testing showed cadmium levels of 23,400% over the 2021 proposed action level for cadmium. It also tested ridiculously high at 1,260% for lead and 560% for arsenic. I would return my product, but it's not eligible for returns. This company needs to do better. Take steps to remove the heavy metals from your product!
