Is it soft or crunchy?

The freeze-dried nuggets are between soft and crunchy; not pliably soft, but definitely not hard. Crumbles apart with your fingers.

What are the ingredients

Ingredients: Pasture raised lamb, lamb heart, lamb liver, ground lamb bone, carrots, blueberries , sunflower seeds, squash, spinach , kale , pumpkin seeds , cranberries, fenugreek seeds, montmorillonite clay , coconut oil (preserved with mixed tocopherols), salmon oil, chicory root, dried kelp , apple cider vinegar, cinnamon , turmeric, mixed tocopherols (a natural preservative); Vitamin d3 supplement, vitamin e supplement, thiamine mononitrate, folic acid, choline; Zinc amino acid chelate , copper amino acid chelate , selenium yeast.

Is this raw ground up freeze dried beef, etc.? Do I need to cook it?

It is a mixture of raw meat, bones, organs and veggies with a few other ingredients that appear to be all ground up together, formed into a smallish pellets and freeze dried. So the product is still considered to be raw so it needs to be handled as such. You do not cook it. Just add the recommended amount of warm water and allow to rehydrate. You could also use bone broth instead of water. My dog didn’t really like it. He liked the Origen brand a little better.
