Value is well worth it!
Hubby works in the Southern hot sun. These help keep him cool and prevent burning. They stay up well without rolling down. Good quality, pleased with them and will be ordering more.

Pretty Decent
For starters I will say I live in SE Texas, and we get pretty hot down here. I mainly wanted something to cover my arms so I don't tan or burn. Since I'm pretty light complected I either tan, or I'll either burn. I don't want to do either so I looked for sleeves. These claim to provide a cooling effect. Of course I was skeptical. I usually like black but black tends to absorb heat more so wasn't sure how well it'll work if I got black. So I chose the light blue colour. As far as uv protection, it's hard to say but I'm assuming it is protecting my arms since I've neither burned or tanned. I have no car so Mom and I walk to work (22 minutes to and from) and I work 4-5 days a week and I've been using them since I got them (about 2 or 3 months now?) and I will say they have NOT LOST their hold!! I'm extremely surprised that they are still nice and tight and hacent been worn out or started to roll down my arms yet! So I'd say they have great durability in that aspect! I have seen a few threads starting to snag a long my wrists but it's not too bad. The material isn't so thin and cheap that it'll unravel from a lose thread. Theure also pretty long. My arms are quite short so I can literally slide these all the way up my shoulder and still have it cover my hand and fingers. It's stretchy but will keep it's hold around your arm. If you have plus size arms or big muscles, it'll probably fit you tight and be too uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. Now onto the cooling factor. I will say it does AND doesn't work. Does it keep you cool? Yes and no. Yes if there is a breeze/some wind. It'll keep you cool. Especially if you walk into a place with a you'll feelt the cooling INSTANTLY! Does it keep you cool when there is no wind? No, no it does not. BUT it also WILL NOT make you hotter. Unlike a sweater, hoodie or normal long sleeve shirt that will make you hotter when wearing in this summer heat, these sleeves do not make you hotter. You can wear them and feel comfortable. And again when you get that wind, ooohh baby do you feel some coolness! So again yes and no to the cooling effect. But take this with a grain of salt since this is MY experience we're talking about. And again I live in SE Texas. So for others they might feel more of a cooling effect than me depending on the area they live in and the humidity etc. But all in all these are great. The compression is nice as well. I say these are pretty decent to try out! And the prices aren't too bad either! I will definitely be buying more from this brand!

Great for sun-block during athletics in hot, humid environments
I play pickleball in the hot & humid SW Florida every day, 2-3 hours a day and need sun protection and prefer not using lotion sunblock - and these get the job done. One thing that amazed me is that they provide evaporative cooling and I never feel hot on my arms (or legs, I also use the same brand leg sleeves). Sometimes between matches I'll rub cool water over the sleeve to get some extra cooling punch. I hand wash in the sink and drip dry. No signs of wear or tear yet ... I own 3 pairs of these sleeves. Why 4 stars? I'm a fairly muscular guy and these are little snug on the biceps.

Comfortable sun protection
I live in Florida and I bought these hoping they would provide better sun protection for my arms than having to use sunscreen. My concerns were that they'd be too tight or loose and/or be too hot to wear on a long ride. Well I've only worn them on one ride so far (2 hours long) but my first impression is that they're perfect for what I wanted. My arms are on the thin side (14 1/2 in biceps) but the sleeves felt snug without feeling like they would cut off circulation. The stretch of the fabric made me think they'd probably be comfortable for a fairly wide range of arm thicknesses. The length was also perfect for my arms (I wear 35 in length for long sleeve shirts). The temperature during the ride was in the mid 70s and the humidity was about the same and the sleeves breathed well and never felt warm. I didn't wear sunscreen under the sleeves and there was no sign of sun burn or tanning when I took them off (it was a bright, sunny day). After the ride I handwashed them and hung them to dry in our laundry room. They dried quickly and still felt like brand new. So based on one ride, I'd definitely recommend them. Only time will tell how long they'll hold up but the fabric and stitch quality looked good so I expect to get more than my money's worth out of them. Finally, my review is my personal opinion and I haven't received and will not accept anything in return for submitting it.

Mixed Feelings on These
A non-fisher person preparing for a fishing trip, I bought these sleeves to go with a short sleeve fishing shirt (which also had a UV 50 protection rating). I kind of wish now that I had just bought a long sleeve fishing shirt, but at the time I was worried I'd be too hot and these sleeves could be removed. The fishing trip lasted six hours, with three of those hours in full sun. On the plus side, these were not too hot and they definitely protected my arms from sunburn. However, I was a bit disappointed in the amount of protection these provided. My arms ended up with some tan, and by evening had that "warm" feeling you get when you're about to start to burn. For comparison, I had on shorts and slathered my legs with spf 50 sunscreen and at the end of the day my legs and my arms covered with the sleeves had the same amount of tan color. However, the upper parts of my arms and shoulders that were covered by the fishing shirt (and without the "extra" covering of a life jacket) felt fine and had not tanned at all. I really suspect that a long sleeve version of the shirt, being looser than these pull on sleeves, would have provided better protection. If you are getting these sleeves for sun protection, I would not count on them for a lot of time in direct sun, at least not without sunscreen. They did stay up on my arms really well (almost too well - I have average size arms, and they were right on the edge of being too tight) and were easily stretchable to cover the upper part of my hands. I noticed that the one I had on my dominate arm already has some pilling where it must have rubbed against my life jacket. All in all, they served their purpose but I don't think I would buy them again.

I use these on long cycles, multi-day hikes, kayak trips and just walking around town - they are extremely convenient, practical and well worth the money. 10/10 recommend

I am 5'11", male, and my arms could not be more than average girth. The sleeves bite into my upper arms enough to be uncomfortable. Rolling the tops down helps, but then they tend to keep rolling down. The material feels cool to wear. I was comfortable on a test ride today, but it is winter and the air temperature was about 20 degrees Celsius, so I can't comment on how they will go in heat and humidity.

Purchased as a gift for for a cyclist who has been wearing these several times a week for several months for his daily bicycle commute through traffic to work. He loves them and finds them comfortable and effective for everything that we wanted from them. Not sure that we would describe them as exactly โcoolingโ in hot weather, but not too bad - and they have been pleasantly warming during the cooler months.
