It’s a good solidly built product with a good height and number of pegs for hanging coats/hats/bags from. I’ve had cheap ones in the past that wobble or don’t stand up right if the load isn’t evenly balanced. With this I have no worries about hanging a wool topcoat on one side and nothing on the other. Base is heavy and makes it very stable. You’d be hard pressed to tilt this. Perhaps if you’ve got a Sasquatch sized dog, but you don’t have to worry about toddlers tipping it. Quick to assemble, but I do wish the exterior center pole wasn’t marred by having to use two visible screws. It’s a very minor bump, but it does mean that it doesn’t quite look like one solid piece of construction. Overall very happy and it’s my third Yamazaki product. I’ve yet to be disappointed by anything from the brand.

Easy to assemble and looks so nice! The base is heavy and sturdy so it will not tip over when loaded with coats. The base and middle post, the black or white part, is made of nice matte metal with wood coat hooks extensions that screw easily into the middle post. It looks very modern and is also very functional!

This coat rack is another excellent product from Yamazaki! With this company I know the product will be very well built, that all of the parts will be there and will go together properly, and that it will look great. A+ for form + function.

This is exactly what I was looking for. BUT the cover for the base came scratched. How can I get seller to set me a new cover, rather than having to pack up the whole thing and ship it back? Edit: So Amazon is shipping me a new stand. Not perfect, but I'll have one in perfect condition. It looks great in my house and will provide extra place for coats, etc.

Very attractive contemporary coat rack. Arrived in perfect condition and all pieces fit together quickly and easily (with good instructions). Base is a good weight so that the coat stand is sturdy and holds multiple coats and dog leashes without tipping over. Compact and fits well in a small space. A good value with a high end look.

Love everything about this coat rack, from the its sturdy weighted base, to the metal and wood 'tree' (no plastic!) to the clear instructions and ease of assembly (very easy!), to the transitional style. Plus my family now has a place to put jackets instead of throwing them on the table. The pegs are not super long, so it might not be right for bulky winter parkas, but for casual jackets and fleece sweaters it's perfect!

It performs the job I bought it for beautifully (holding kid and adult backpacks, light coats). With the angled arms (so loads slide closer to the trunk) and a weighted stable base, it holds heavier loads than its rating without tipping. Two lowest arms are both low enough so kids can hang their own things and thoughtfully placed opposite each other so heavy loads on those arms balance each other out. The finish is a nice lightly textured, matte black (powder-coated steel?), and wood tips are a lovely touch -- not rounded but with a smooth finish that won't catch on the most delicate fabric. I almost don't want to put much on it as its nice looks are hidden when fully loaded. Only nitpick is that there was a little resistance screwing the two trunk pieces together (using the included joiner piece). I checked that the screw holes were properly sized and threaded, so it was probably that the holes on the joiner piece were just slightly too close to each other (or the holes on the trunk pieces were too far from the edge). I was still able to connect everything without stripping the screws or scarring the black finish, and it should be fine as I won't be disassembling and reassembling this coat rack.

Great looking clothes hanger that takes 2 minutes to put together. I am a fan. If I were to fix one thing, I'd use prettier screws on the part that connects the two parts of the tree together. Everything is so well done, but those big screws just stick out like a sore thumb.

The hanger sits beautifully. It isn’t the most sturdy type but given it comes as a three pieces assembly that can’t be helped even if it’s fully tighten. The packaging for it also isn’t the best. The foam that was protecting the base was very thin and the one I’ve received was really banged up.

White powder-coated metal with real wood ends is attractive. Base is heavy and keeps coat rack stable. Comes flat packed and takes about 5 minutes to set up. Happy with purchase, good value for price.
