Saw Palmetto Capsules - 500mg Complex Containing Standardized Extract and the Berries Powder

Good stuff, I think :) Over the past few years I've noticed some extreme hair loss - I'm talking about 3/4 of my hair. My docs all said it was due to my most recent childbirth. But he is 2.5yo now. Hormone levels are supposedly normal, as are thyroid. Did some research and began taking saw palmetto (have tried 2 brands but don't notice a difference), evening primrose oil (for hormone balance) and iron (low dose). A few months later and now my eyelashes are growing back, my leg hairs and I would assume my head hairs (that's a bit more difficult to ascertain)! One of these, or maybe all, are working! The herbs are quite safe so worth a shot if you are trying to figure out your hair loss!

I did NOT receive any free samples of this product -- this is a completely non-solicited evaluation.My case is atypical. I don't have BPH -- I had brachytherapy for prostate cancer.The one problem I have in common with the BPH men is frequency of urination at night.I have these three problems.1- Frequency of urination (esp. at night)I take one tablet each day and have had good results. Last week I intentionally did not take the tablet for two days to judge its effectiveness. It was disastrous -- on the last day I had to get up 7 times in the middle of the night. (I will never do that experiment again -- believe me).When I take Saw Palmetto I have to get up only 2 times in the middle of the night.I began taking a small handful of golden raisins two hours before I go to bed (two hours is my cutoff time for water consumption -- to pass as muchliquid as I can). This has brought the frequency down to 1 time per night -- which was what I was doing before surgery. (Found out about this fromThe Peoples' Pharmacy website). As a side comment I have to do an extra 2 laps in the pool to cut down the calorie intake from the raisins.New product users should note that it takes a while for this product to build up in your system. It doesn't happen overnight.A good friend has been taking Flo Max -- my results have better than his on frequency (but not other symptoms -- more on this later).I will do anything not to take a prescription medication -- Flo Max has some side effects that I do not want to deal with.2- Weak flowSaw palmetto has not had any effect on this. My Flo Max friend has had better results.However, this is not a bad problem for me. I understand (from doing research) that this problem eventually goes away without medication.3- Burning sensation during urinationSaw Palmetto has not had any effect on this either. My Flo Max friend does not have this problem.The burning sensation is not bad but still very annoying. I need to talk to my urologist about this -- as no one else seems to have this problem.I am giving this product 4 stars as I have only been taking it for one month and want to see how it does long term.I wish all BPH and prostate cancer sufferers the best of luck.

I'm not sure how long it should take before this product starts working, but right now, I have seen no benefit.Now have been taking for about 90 days and still see no benefit. Will try another product and keep on hoping.

mild increase in libido. Other than that, it did nothing. The price is right.

Been using it for 2 weeks and can barely notice a difference, need to use it longer and hopefully the results will improve.

Great product! Saw Palmetto has been shown to be a powerful aid in keeping the prostate healthy and to boost the body's cancer fighting abilities. Prostate cancer is a threat in my husband's family. He has been taking saw palmetto for over 20 years now, and at 69 years old his prostate is healthy and cancer free. I definitely recommend this for all men.

Seems to have helped this old guy from having to get up several times a night to head for the loo. Down to one or none.

I have been using this product for over 2 weeks and I haven't seen 1% changes.. It didn't help mr at all and I think all people who gave 5 stars are FAKE
