No need to re-stretch, just apply this and witness greatness
This product is absolutely amazing!, tried several other products and talked to 3 or 4 artists and all persuaded me not to use water or any kind of product to fix a wrinkled canvas after it was already stretched. This product fixed it in a matter of seconds, that's right! (about 50 second after application), It is that good. I had no need to re-stretch or hire anybody to build a new frame. For what it does, they could easily charge twice as much for it. I applied this myself (i'm just a regular person, no artist or craftsman). oh.. and BTW, the size of my canvas was 11.5 feet by 8.5 feet, just incredible results. :)Before and after pictures are attached.

Fixed The Movers Mistake
When we moved the moving company crated a very large and expensive painting of our 4 daughters. No savage in the move but after the painting was UNC rated, one of the movers placed a hand on the back of the canvas trying to lift his side up causing a very large “dimple” in the stretched canvas. Brushed the material on the canvas and the dimple nearly disappeared. Went away with the second coat. Great product.

I bought a good set of frame keys at the same time to ...
I'm always skeptical of "magic" products performing miracles. I was so skeptical this stuff wasn't going to work, I bought a good set of frame keys at the same time to do it the mechanical way when it failed. Well, now I have an unused set of frame keys down on my workbench. I followed the directions, and put on two coats, the first in small sections, and the second, a lighter misting when the first coat was completely dry. When I started, the canvas was saggy and ripple-y and had sort of "waves" in it. Now it's tight as a snare drum head. This stuff does exactly what it says it does. Amazing.

This product really works, but you may have to redo it
I've used Tight-n-Up several times, most recently on a very loose canvas that I'd stretched myself (hint: don't dampen the canvas before you stretch it - it just keeps stretching). I applied one coat to the back of the canvas and let it dry. It was better, but still had too much give to it. So I repeated the process. To get the drumhead-like tension I wanted took about seven coats, so if you want your canvas really tight allow time for several coats with drying time in between each. Also, the directions tell you not to get it really wet but it does need to be evenly pretty damp, and some wetness is inevitable. You can drain it off. Better yet, use a flat brush to try to direct the excess moisture between the canvas and the stretchers, where spraying won't reach evenly. Allow plenty of drying time - otherwise your canvas will begin to stretch again when you start painting. How much it will stretch varies with how loose it was to begin with.Because my canvas was very loose originally I found that it did stretch out a little after vigorous brushwork; however, one recoat allowed to dry well brought it back into line, much better than it would have had I just tightened it with plain water. (That's the cheap way to do it, but it's not quite as effective.)I would give this product 5 stars save for the fact that the finger-pump spray on the 8-ounce size is too tiring to operate. Instead, it's worth the extra money to get the 16-oz size with the trigger pump, which I was able to get later. Also , even if your canvas was not unusually loose originally you may well find that recoating is needed after you get started. If the page had allowed me, I'd have given Tight-n-Up 4 1/2 stars as a very good product.

I bought three paintings for our new house and found out later that the frame shop wanted $300 to mount and stretch. I was able to construct frames for a few dollars and stretch the paintings, but with a few wrinkles. This product took them out almost instantly and years later, none of the wrinkles have come back. I was able to do three very large paintings with some left over.

Maybe works, cheap sprayer
Annoyingly the sprayer didn't work. It would be much nicer and quicker to spray on rather brush on. I had to brush the chemical on. Two layers and MAYBE it's doing something? Seems to take out small problem areas, don't know about tightening up an entire canvas?

Great For Canvases
It’s. Like. Magic. The product works as intended and if you are an artist, taking your art to shows like my husband, you know your canvas is going to get dimples. This product works as intended.

10/10 times
Why do I continue to but this product? When the spray bottle works, the product works great. As advertised. But ten outta ten times after the first use, I turn the as spray nozzle to "off" and then next time I want to use it and turn it too "spray" it's locked. I can't pull the trigger without busting the plastic and end up applying they product with a paint brush. I've had to do this with all 12 bottles I've ordered. But you won't get me again. I'm done. Don't waste you're money
