Q: Is this american metalcraft ha4020 ha4000 series pan, 20" made of stainless steel per "specifications" or aluminum per "product features"?

HA4020 is made from 14 gauge aluminum.

Q: why does it say Height 11.00 inches when the diameter is 20 inches. just impossible...what is correct here?

Blame it on a typo. The rim is just under 1 inch measured from the inside, just over 1 inch measured on the outside. Measured including the lip the diameter is about 20 1/2 inches.

Q: Is it safe for high heat cooking? Grilling?

It's a pizza pan so is made for high heat cooking provided there is something on it to absorb some of the heat. Aluminum has a low melting point (1220ºF) compared to steel (2600ºF.) I would be concerned about extreme heat if the pan were empty or very lightly covered. I have been satisfied with this pan.
