The media could not be loaded.  This granite mortar and pestle set was a terrific purchase. It is sturdy, durable and turns 10 of my horse's large stomach medication pills into powder in less than 30 seconds (please see video; I wasn't able to upload the full 30 seconds but you'll at least get an idea). The powder is easily poured out and the granite cleans up nicely. The set is beautiful and decorative as well! While the interior of the mortar and end of the pestle are unpolished in order to be effective tools, the outside and length are polished to a lovely shine. We will be using this to grind up other things. I can't believe we didn't buy this sooner; would definitely purchase again.

Excellent pill pulverizer! Better than the pill crushers I've used before, those plastic and metal ones don't match up! I used to work in a pharmacy where the pharmacist was also a compounder and he would always use the good old fashioned mortar and pestle, which is why I purchased it. Been using it to pulverize my dogs meds, and then mix the fine powder into their food! No trouble at all, takes seconds to pulverize the pills/tablets, and easy to clean! Very well made and solid too.

This is a handsome, heavy, hand-friendly mortar and pestle set that is the perfect size for grinding small items such as pills, herbs, pet treats, and so on. It is easy to clean and dries quickly. I'm very happy with this product.

We bought it for someone who can't swallow pills whole, but we wanted something that looked pretty cool, too, because who would buy someone just a pill crusher for a birthday present. There's seems to be a certain fascination about mortar and pestles because everybody was playing with it at the party. This one's sturdy and aesthetic, and I heard mention that they're going to try muddling mint leaves with it to make mojitos, and to smash up avocados.

Works good, but does leave pull residue in it.

I use it for everything from burns to pills spices

I am having GI surgery and will not be able to swallow pills for a while. This mortar and pestle is heavy but compact. It works great without much effort. I suspect this is better than any crushing device.

I wanted to purchase a pill crusher so it'll be easier for me to give my Mom her medication. I love how quickly I was able to crush her medication to a refined powder. It's easy to clean, quick and gets the job done. I'm happy I purchased this product.
