Having not known
Anything about Hikaru Utada, i had heard on song she had on the Rush Hour 2 soundtrack with Foxy Brown. I was really loving that song, so i was like. I need to keep an eye out for her in the future, lo and behold. She comes out with an album-Exodus. I dont even hesitate to buy it even after the first listen to the CD. I knew it was one CD that was gonna be playing til...well a very long time. Each song goes into the next, each one of them bringing a little something different to the table musicwise. From one of my favorite cuts "Hotel Lobby" to the ending track "About Me". Along others like "Devil Inside", "Wonder Bout", "Tippy Toe" and "Exodus 04" with a smooth slow groove to it. "Exodus" is just a beginning for Hikaru with this being her first CD in the US. I say that there is only much more to come for the talented and successful singer.Next album when its released = me buying it the day its released, big ups.

This ALbum is so underated and is AWESOme!!!!!!
This album is one of the best albums i have bought it has a feel that surpasses all others Utada's Exodus is an awesome album I think it is a musical masterpiece. Exodus '04 is an awesome mellow song produced by Timberland. Hotel Lobby conveys a feeling that amoung all other things touches you. Easy Breezy is a great melody song that you can just get into. Kremlin Dusk is awesome SLow JAm that has a surprise that i do not want to spoil at the end of the song. The WOrkout on of the best songs on the album gives you this really great dance beat you can really start to get down with and get a real WOrkout. About me is a lovely song that in all tells the tale of a wonderful love story in which we all experience If you are into Good Music i really suggest getting this album. All in All Exodus is a really awesome album and i just hope people can look past image and find true talent like (Brandy, and Utada)

Utter Perfection !!!
This album from Utada is simply amazing. It perfectly blends the style of music from Japan & America. Utada's lyrics are always so amazing no matter what type of song she is singing. Her voice is so peaceful yet powerful. Some of my favorite tracks from this album are "Exodus '04", "Easy Breezy", "Tippy Toe", "Kremlin Dusk" (Which is a beautifully put together piece) & "You Make Me Want To Be A Man". Though the album in its entirety is great. This is a must have for any fan of Utada.

good try for a first US album
A good effort is made towards making a debut album in US by this talented Japanese singer/song writer. Utada needs a hit song in order to carry an album to the top of the charts. There are many experiementations so to speak on this album. I think Utada is better off selecting one genre instead of producing hoge-poge diskettes. She is willing to push the limits in her singing ability which is commendable. If you hear her hit song "First Love" in her previous albums you will know how she has evolved over the years.

One of my favorite alboms.
I have had this album on CD since it came out back in the day but finally bought the digital to listen to when I walk and to further support the artist.

Utada Hikaru got Soul
I've been a big fan of Utada Hikaru for years and I have really loved her prior work, but none of it had the soul of this album. It is very different from her previous albums, but not in a bad way. This album fills me with emotion in a way her others never did. Don't let people who say that it's too different from her past work scare you off.

Superb
Exodus by Utada is a wonderful album that contains some of her great songs. Unlike many albums from many artists, Exodus has more than just one track that I listen to over and over again. I only wish I had discovered it earlier. I recommend this if you are someone who likes music.

Exodus

Easy Breezy Japanesey?!
This is the first all English workings from the Japanese sensation and like her previous albums, Exodus 04 have a different sound to her other works. This time round its more electro-pop. For new people its a bit like Kylie or Madonna's more recent work crossed with Fischerspooner, Frou Frou or Venus Hum. Its got a very fresh original sound that can onl be described as cutting edge. The tracks range from the dark dance rock tune "Devil Inside", the quite cheesy pop "Easy Breezy" to the power electronic "Kremlin Dusk" and the lets-get-every-genre-in-one-song "About Me". Many of the songs have an eastern flavour to it - be it the hook or the purcussion or the keyboard samples. There's something for everyone who likes the mainstream music with a twist to it.I've heard many fans of her Japanese work moan about the poor lyrics to the songs yet apart from some lines ("Easy Breezy Japansey" anyone?) I dont have a problem with them at all!I highly recommend this album to anyone, regardless of genre
