I've had this Android box for a year now still works very good. Had no issues with screaming movies. My mom is in her sixties and she loves this Android box. I have to buy another one actually because taking over the first one I got. With the 8 GB of RAM I've had no problems playing video games hell I was even able to download Minecraft poJav edition and mod the crap out of this thing without too much lag honestly the best Android box on the market right now compared to others really not sure why the reviews are so bad.UpdateBut I have to admit the remote control for this thing is horrible.But I bought a little air remote for it whenever I first purchased it so I really didn't have a bad experience.Besides the remote this little Android box is a beast best one I've ever purchased.I'll be buying another one today

Extremely fast though will not allow for the must have feature of upgrading the home screen launcher for the experienced Android TV Box User to accommodate easy movement, deletion, placement, and cancellation of apps (Rootless Pixel Launcher), while providing open home screen space for a local weather widget (Transparent clock and weather widget) to display the time, 5 day weather, current weather, date, and amount of remaining streaming box ram and rom. Also making it impossible to install "Space Journey Live Wallpaper" rate 4.8 stars (Google Search for Android APKpure). Could not get started on adding any of the above wonderful features. Box ended up being considered a gross disappointment and was returned for a refund.

From the start it was clear there were issues with the included remote. Setting up the box was very difficult and required the use of another remote with dongle to do so. I’ve tried replacing the included remote with a new remote with dongle, but that did not work well at all. Only some features worked.and then only occasionally. Went back to using the included remote, but that has been an underwhelming experience. The remote stops controlling the box several times a day requiring a complete hard reset each time. I bought the box from Amazon and shipped it to me overseas. Cost prohibitive to return. Overall, very disappointed.

Why do all these boxes have such weak wifi and ethernet connections. After getting the exchanged unit and setting it up I checked ethernet speed with NO VPN and I get about 60 megs up and 10 down on my 180 meg service. with 5ghz wifi and the routher being only about 15 feet away I get 30 up and 7 down.My Nvidia Shield at the same location on ethernet I get 170 meg down and 15 up and on 5ghz wifi I get just about the same.However, on the original box that I got that had a bad remote that was returned I was doing almost as good as the Nvidia Shield on both ethernet and wifi.Returning the unit.

bought 2 units thinking the remote was just off. Same issue, works like garbage. Stay away.

Internal software on box works great and is fast. Interface is easy to add additional apps. Digital display on front of box is not bright enough and unreadable at more than 2 feet away. To turn off and on I have to get up from sofa and move within 6 feet.

I received this product its brand new but no power on i try to chang charger and i do but still not power on that's way i well returned

Did not function with my Yamaha AVR so it must not be compatible with older Codecs or something.Just to make sure it was working and not completely defective, I did plug it in direct to the TV.Could not get the screen size right plugged directly into my old DLP Mitsubishi. I tried to use the screen size adjustment, but even with a black bar around the entire screen the menus would be off the edge of the screen.Remote sensitivity is poor, some times it would not move at all, other times it would move way too far. A SERIOUS pain if you have complex passwords. I would suggest a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard or something better to do setup.Could not get it to play Netflix, as if it were expecting touch inputs. May require a mouse at all times since I could not find a way to change to display scheme to show the cursor or highlighted selection.Really difficult to tell where it is pointing or trying to point in Google Play to add apps for example, basically was a guessing game.Was attempting to replace my Shield TV that bricked over the weekend. My old Fire Stick is more user friendly albeit much much slower.
