It smells like purple gear oil
Price was similar to Mobil 1 and other store bought 75w-90 oils with LS additives. Figured I would give the Royal Purple a try this time round seeing how they started doing API testing and Subaru of America can no longer void warranties because of that nonsense.Short term review, this has to be better than the unknown branded 80w-90 fluid a stealership put in the differentials on a used 2003 Forester I now own.For the 03 Forester I needed just over 2 quarts for the entire job, a little over a quart for the front and just under a quart for the rear.Long term review, I will let you know what I find out after a 30,000 mile test, that is the recommended drain and fill mileage on my vehicle

A good deal on the real thing.
A great deal on great gear oil. I was afraid the gear oil may have been some different mix or lower standard due to the price. It wasn't. It is the real, full synthetic, high-quality Royal Purple oil.
