This butter dish arrived wrapped in tons of bubble wrap inside a plain shipped by box. For something that cost about $67 (including shipping), I was expecting more.This butter dish has a hand-crafted feel to it. The bottom doesn’t sit level on the counter (it rocks back and forth a little when the ends are pushed down). The lid doesn’t sit level, either. I placed the lid on the counter to make sure the fit wasn’t from the bottom. The lid wobbles back and forth on the counter as much as the bottom does.Despite that, this is a beautiful piece. It probably wouldn’t fit a large stick of butter, but it will hold a standard one. I ordered this to use as my candy bar station. I just need to find a little knife to fit inside for when I want to cut a small piece of the candy bar off.

My mom loves purple and after I broke her last butter dish this one was just what I needed to make it up to her. She absolutely loves it! 💚💜

My kitchen is pale lilac. My dishes, cookware and just about everything else except the appliances, is purple too. This is a lovely addition to my kitchen’s purpleness!
