Genuine Helicoil quality
This worked great on a main cap bolt. 40 lbf plus 180 degrees torque without failure on the bolt.I like the insert tool that screws into the insert and keeps the threads captured while screwing it in. Other lesser quality insert kits just have a notch in a bar that screws the tab and it allows the threads to jump out of line.

and it will hold up like a boss
Used this in a Honda block when I stripped the headbolt out. The tap is a bit on the short side but if you get it started you can crank it down the rest of the way with a 1/4 socket and extension.Make sure you hit proper depth with the insert, and it will hold up like a boss. The Heli-Coiled hole felt better than all the other unstripped ones.

Product worked great. take your time and use cutting oil. It saved me a lot of money and time.Would highly recommend to anyone needing to re thread stripped out threads. This is a specialty size for my caliper bolt on my 93 Olds. custom cruiser wagon.

Good tool, not for my application
I hate having to use this product, as it means I (or someone before me) messed up. However, for my application, the tap and set tool were not long enough, if this was for something not as crucial as the head bolt hols in the block, they would have been great. All except one held great and unfortunately for a head, one is just as critical as the rest. Next time for a head bolt holes I may just have to go for time-serts.
