This doesn't work for my intended purpose .. namely connecting 4 pole plug to a 3 pole (pc) socket. No sound.I've emailed them but no response or offer to refund.

Unfortunately the jack I bought was poor quality. The connection to the unit was inconsistent and gave me poor quality audio recordings.
