Love this paddle. It's not anything fancy but, it is a great fishing paddle. I have used the lure retrieval cut out a few times. It's light and floats. Just the right size for my wide fishing yak.

Paddle is great, and the paddle is the one that has the notch/dock hook that I wanted. Was pretty nervous about that because the main image on the item does not include that notch. I asked and everyone including the seller seemed oblivious to why I had any concern, and insisted that all image were of the same paddle, but there is a clear difference to me. Though it seems that the main image is just inaccurate.Good quality, maybe great for the price. Very pleased that I pulled the trigger.

To start I was very excited to get the paddle and it seems and feels of very good quality, sturdy and light weight. The paddle is not the issue and I'm happy with it.The problem is that the included paddle leash was defective on arrival right out of the bag. It came apart in two pieces with the Velcro loop end literally falling off as I opened the bag.I can understand the occasional defect getting through but what is concerning is that I contacted the vendor for a replacement leash and they have not responded. So to recap, the paddle looks and feels very quality but I'm not sold on the customer service from the vendor.

This paddle is very light weight about half of the old one I used seems well made did a 10 mile paddle this past weekend with it and love it

This paddle is as good as any $250 paddle on the market. Very strong and sturdy yet very lightweight. The angler hook works well also. I'm very happy I found discovered Best Marine & Outdoors! Thanks for such a fine product at a fair price.

Nice, light 2pc paddle. I had to replace a nice Werner that I...ahem...ran over with my car. (Apparently carbon fiber isn’t THAT strong). I wanted something close but not so expensive. This Best Marine is surprisingly good. It is probably lighter than the Werner. The interconnect seems tight and sturdy for now. It is not as solid as the Werner in that respect, but as long as it doesn’t loosen up over time then this is no big deal.Overall a very nice paddle!

Overall, I really like this paddle. Before this I used a 8 ft-long paddle and I thought it would be better if it was a bit longer, as a Sit-on-top kayak user. I searched for a paddle with carbon fiber shaft because fiberglass, although light good material as well, would fall apart and hurt your palm and fingers when worn out. I found this one, and with its arrival, I had a different experience. It helps my kayak track better and I'm not fatigued.It's not that much light, and it's not the best, obviously, but with this budget, you can hardly find a better one.

It was a good paddle. I used it ~ 15 times for less than an hour each time...3-4 miles. I took it out into the ocean today and it broke. Could have been disastrous, but I live to fight another day. The paddle does not, and I am hating it for ruining a perfect day.UPDATE: BEST contacted me after I emailed them, and they are sending me a new paddle (hopefully they addressed design/material issues) AND a dry bag...AND they refunded my original purchase. Way more than I expected, and I will buy their products again. Thanks, BEST...not what I was expecting.
