Travel Umbrella for Rain, Windproof Automatic Compact Umbrella

this is the sky & cloud design , visually very cheerful indeed. Pops right up and is rigid and strong. not so big as to protect all of you in a gusting rain, but great for regular, and then the push of the button "half-collapses" it so you can quickly enter your car, or doorway. One must then manually , firmly, push the top towards the handle to complete the closing (a firm click signals lockdown). One little oddity - the open/close button has up and down arrows on it - I misunderstood and thought somehow one had to push on the "UP" arrow side of the button to open, and the bottom "down"arrow side of the same button to close. No, no - just firmly push the button for either function, in the center. ( I feel sort of dumb here, but still....) Fine umbrella, and I appreciate the little case to protect it from wear when the weather is fair (the umbrella stays mostly in the car) Good buy, and am very satisfied with the design and quality of the umbrella.

This umbrella's automatic nature threw me off. I'm used to the style of umbrella where you slide a collar on the umbrella's shaft up which begins to open the umbrella until the collar clicks into place, locking the umbrella open. To close it, you'd press a small lever on the collar and slide the collar down, closing the umbrella. Not this case with this one! There's two buttons on the handle. One button has an arrow pointing down, and the other button has an arrow pointing up. I'm sure you've already figured out which button does what. Now that I'm used to it, I really enjoy literally opening and closing/collapsing my umbrella at the press of a button. I just hope the mechanism's components are durable. I've only used this umbrella a few times, so I can't speak to it's longevity. That's about all I can say. I feel the umbrella is overpriced, but given it's fancier mechanism, I see why it costs as much as it does. I also recently received an umbrella as a "on the spot award" at my job, and this umbrella is smaller, lighter, and easier to use than my reward umbrella.

love this umbrella for the strength and durability it gives. Also, can fit into my knapsack easily.

The auto open feature scares you the first time you open it. Works well. Folding it back takes some effort. It explains why it pops open so forcefully. Have not used it in the rain yet but due to its build, I suspect it will do well.

Light weight and compact

Used 1st time today, worked great! When auto close button pushed it sheds the water, and its easy to restore to the enclosure.

This umbrella was very pretty and I really liked it. It works ok for a light rain with no wind. When I read the information on the umbrella it stated that it would not turn inside out. Unfortunately that was not the case. The first rainy, windy day I used it the umbrella turned inside out. It was easy to pop back but wasn't helpful at the time of the rain. Also It is very hard to shut. I got in my car to put it down and I got wet just trying to get it all the way down. I will use it but not as happy with it as I was hoping to be.

This umbrella seems well made but it is heavier than expected. It's not a huge issue but for some people if they carry it around all day may prefer it a little lighter.
