I bought this mirror - dash cam almost week ago. I have a 2013 escape and it has the beep sensor but no backup camera.This mirror Dash-cam is good as a dash-cam for insurance purpose but it also has a reverse camera that my escape does not have. So i gave it a try after reading about this type of cameras1 - The installation of the Dash cam was super easy, everything you need comes in the box, the charger for the dash-cam is long enough to reach my power socket in the escape when passing the cable through the side (so the cable its not visible). Installing the dash-cam was really 5 minutes work, Add the straps to hold to the mirror, pass the power cable and it was installed (Super easy).Installing the reverse camera took more time, passing the cable to the other side of the car (It took me a little less than an hour with no experience and working alone). Again the cable in the box is super long so it was pretty simple and no need to add anything.2 - It took me 10 minutes on my first trip with the mirror-dash cam and got use to it. I really like the touch screen, one touch and you can have the menu and the clokc on. Another touch and you can see whats recording. In order to point where you want to, no need to move the mirror, there are arrows that help point ot the correct spot (you can see it in the mirror what is recording)Pros:- The dash cam works great, very easy to set and record.- Really like the picture option, a click on the touch screen, moment saved :)- The mirror is comfortable to use (I very fast got used to it, good vision)- The clock is nice to have- It works great at night also (Also the camera)- The reverse camera is very helpful (I did not have a reverse camera in the car).- Comes with a 32GB memory (no need to buy)Cons:- Have not seen any so far.I am happy with my buy, works well and feels really good quality. I am planning and buying another one for my seconds car.

After a year of use I've had no issues to deter anyone thinking of purchasing this item. Still working fine even in the Texas heat! In full disclosure, I have it installed on a 2019 SUV which already has a reversing camera installed - so this was not used/activated.I tend to keep it in rear camera mode, acting like a rear view mirror. There are a couple of issues with this: Firstly, there can be a glare issue as noted in other comments; lastly, my major complaint is the image on the screen is reversed - i.e. vehicles on the left side of vehicle show up on the right side of the cam screen and vice versa! I have not been able to find anyway of reversing this - if there is, please let me know!!! Overall very clear images and installation (...excluding reversing) can be done by anyone with basic DIY skills.

The media could not be loaded.  Needed a dashcam for my car so I got this. Installation was super easy. Took me about 30 to 45minutes since I had to run the wires for the rear cam. Love that it’s hooked on my mirror instead of mounting on the windshield. Settings is all touchscreen which made navigating easy. Like that it also has the rear cam so you can see behind, and can act as a backup cam. Picture quality was also good and very clear and came with a 32g sd card so you don’t have to buy one.

Their products are bad. The images of the rear camera came back as backwards, which is NOT SIMILAR TO HOW I LOOK AT MY MIRROR AT ALL. The license plates are all backwards. It is like you look at a certain thing in a mirror reflections. Contacted seller and they said to flip the camera up side down. When I flipped it up side down, the images came up side down too. They didn’t know how to fix backwards images. I ordered 2 products from them and all got the same problem. No help at all when they contacted me back.

Likes:Camera video is good quality.The ability to adjust camera lens/view to change angles electronically for both cameras.Dislikes:Originally installed in 2007 Chevy Colorado but would have to take camera off mirror in order to remove memory card.Worked better on the mirror of a 1995 Dodge Dakota. I did not have to remove camera to remove the memory card.Sound works when playing video back in camera. However, there is no sound when played back in computer system.Rear camera works in both the Chevy and Dodge but the back-up camera doesn't engage when in reverse in the Dodge. I never connected the back-up camera in the Chevy.I could never get the time to display on camera in a 12 hour format (AM/PM) only 24 hour format.

I would give 5 stars if it didn’t have a glare during the day time and had the split screen options like the other mirror cameras have. It’s still a solid unit for sure. I drive a lifted truck with a 10 inch lift and big tires so I would love to have the split screen option. This should be great for any stock vehicle force but the only thing that worries me is with it not being split screen (front and back camera view) is it recording both or just which camera view your on. I may end up putting it on my Camry and going a different route but still a good unit if you don’t need the split screen viewing option. It does have the lines for reverse and is pretty clear. Front camera picks up a lot of area in front of your vehicle it’s pretty impressive.Update after 1 month. I have to give this. 5 star rating now. The clarity on this bad boy is amazing. I will be putting this on my other truck for sure! I originally gave 4 stars but it’s worth 5 for sure. People bag off me since my truck is so high and they can see their being recorded lol I love it!!
