This water bottle is great. It filters impurities and leaves the water tasting great (tastes like nothing at all, which to me tastes great!). The size is perfect; not too big to lug around but big enough for you to get your daily amount of water. I got the purple color and it matches that of the photo. I love that the filter lasts a long time. Apparently it can filter around 1500 liters of water, so about six months worth. Most water bottle filters only last 1-2 months, so this bottle has great bang for your buck.My only issue (and reason for 4 stars) is not anything to do with the bottle's performance, but rather a part that comes with it. At the top of the lid, beneath the foldable straw is a tiny silicone piece that is inserted into the air hole that allows water to come up the straw when sucked. It's purpose is to prevent leakage when the straw is folded closed. Unfortunately, that silicone piece has gone missing after having this bottle for a few months. I'm writing this review in hopes of getting the attention of customer service to replace this silicone insert, because I can't seem to figure out how to contact them directly. I may have gotten a spare part when I received the bottle, but at this point, months later, finding it is a lost cause. If anyone knows how to contact them, please let me know in the comment section of this review (if there is one, I hope).Apart from that, this bottle deserves more than five stars. It's a great buy, functions perfectly, is an ideal size and leaves water tasting fresh and clean. It's definitely helped me increase my daily water intake which is why I bought this bottle. I like to go hike up where I'm far from running water so I have to get water from the stream. Filters very easily. There are directions that come with the bottle. READ THEM. The directions are easy. It tells you what to do if the flow gets slower. For the price I think it is the best deal online. I recommend this product for purifying waters from streams.

When I first opened the package, I saw a little compass at the top! I thought it was so fun and a nice touch for a camping water bottle.I got this water bottle for my kid for sports but can totally see the use in camping. He tells me the water tastes great, even straight from our tap. The filter is pretty easy to clean, which I like. The bottle holds a good amount of liquid which is awesome because he needs a lot for his practices and games. Also, it seems pretty sturdy and quality.... which is good because I'm sure he will drop it at some point and I'm not worried that it is going to break. Overall, I'm really satisfied!

Do not hesitate. Buy this product.My son and I used one each on a 4 night section hike of the Appalachian trail. We filtered yellow water, reddish color water, and even water from a pond that ended up being closed due to high levels of something. We did not get sick or have any negative reactions. The water always tasted great.The straw/sucking: this is a biggie for this type of product. We found it easy to suck a good amount through the straw with minimal effort. Not hard and no mouth pain at all.Just an easy to use product that does exactly as it says. Highly recommend!

This product worked for 3 days when I was in Peru. It chose to stop working when I was about to climb Machu Picchu. I had to unscrew the lid and drink tap water (thankfully it was not México and the next part of this story is not me pooping my pants, it may have been though.) Fail! I threw it away after because it’s heavy and hauling around heavy useless things while hiking is not my jam.

When your destination has an iffy drinking water situation, take along this bottle as an alternative to disposable plastic bottles. The purification system will put you at ease about the safety of the water you're drinking. Color options offer something for everyone.
