Don't Waste Your Money
Edition 10 is exactly the same as Edition 9 word for word. All they did is change the cover picture. Shame on Rick Steves!

Reliable recommendations
Steves' suggestions are excellent. We relied on his suggestions for private drivers two weeks ago in Medjugorje, Mostar and Sarajevo. Both firms/drivers were outstanding.Ten or so days ago, we went from Kraków, Poland to Wadowice, Poland to visit the birthplace and home of Karol Józef Wojtyła, later Pope John Paul II. Attended Sunday service in his adjacent parish church. And enjoyed the Pope's favorite cream cake and coffee in a nearby cafe. His family apartment is now an extraordinary multimedia museum. Two weeks ago, in Mostar, Alma provided a first-hand account of their family's life over the past 40 years. Her husband, Ermin, drove us north from Mostar through the incredibly beautiful river valley between high mountain ranges to the Sarajevo Airport. We also relied on Steves' recommendations for restaurants in Mostar, Kraków and Warsaw.

Lightweight fair information concise and to the point.
Good weight. Fairly good information. Does not have an appendix to go look up certain info in quick hurry. Liked the walk around tours. Liked the historical information but not as much as I hoped. Biggest thing that they did talk about to some extent was tipping! I’m from USA and was great starting help, but would love it to be boiled down into a quick look chart for most common activities. It’s what we encountered the most over there.

Absolutely the best
I'm planning an extensive tour of Eastern Europe when the pandemic is past. I've got a number of guides for that region. I've been to more than half the countries in Eastern Europe. This book is by far the best available. The coverage is full and complete for many areas. If you only buy one book for planning in Eastern Europe make it this one.

Great Advice for Travelers
I will be going on a trip to Slovakia and the Czech Republic in the spring and purchased this book after getting Rick Steve's book about Prague. The Eastern Europe book is the only one he's written that includes Slovakia. I was very impressed with the Prague book and Rick didn't let me down with this one either. He includes detailed common sense advice about everything a traveler needs to know such as tipping, packing, where to stay, what to see, etc. I will use his books in the future for other trips!

Superb Information Inside!
Another great updated travel book by Rick! We rely heavily on these books when we travel in Europe. We do exactly what the author says to do, we cut the individual chapters out and have the appropriate one with us in each city or area. I highly recommend this books and any other book written by Rick Steves.

Gain background info +maps+ agenda for travel in Eastern Europe.
Planning a solo spring 2020 trip to Eastern Europe so RS gave me some good tips. The best features: **maps/ walking tour of cities/ Eastern Europe at a Glance using symbols to show MUST SEE/ IF TIME. I will remove sections for cities I plan to visit to save on space since the guide has 1,000 paper thin pages!

Great Guide for Europe
This is great guide for Europe. Love all of his guide. Easy to read, great ideas. Used the guide while going to various sites. Extremely help. Save a great deal of time and money. Great points on tickets, restaurant, museums, etc.

Too much fluff
Instead of being a guide, it’s a thick book of him trying to sell you his other items. Like “self guided tour”, or “Rick steves discount” to hotels/hostels. Waayyyy to much fluff. Very disappointed.
