Fit and works correctly
Ordered as a replacement for a 1981 GS650 that was leaking when not running. The vacuum valve was no longer functioning. The new part was easy to install and works properly after the first week.

works as intended but leaked
I knew this item would not be high quality by the price point but i needed it asap and i could get this one the next day . In prime position it worked as intended but when i put in on position it leaked bad the same with reserve it wouldn't stop flowing fuel . I took it apart and the spring under the diaphragm was to weak to push diaphragm back over to the off position when engine is not running .So i stretched the spring to make it stronger and it works perfect now.

Works as intended
Its a petcock! As long as your floats are set correctly and you run the vacuum hose to it, it works perfectly.

Once vacuum kicks in it floods the carbs.
I tested the petcock before installing. It seemed to work properly on each setting (reserve, on, prime). Once installed it was a different story. I turned on prime for 1 second then switched it to on. I started the bike and it immediately started spewing fuel everywhere. The petcock flooded the carburetors and didn't stop until the tank was empty no matter what setting I had it on. Luckily I unhooked the fuel line from the carbs and saved most of the fuel. Unfortunately, the fuel flooded the engine causing me to need another oil change even tho I had just finished one. I should've listened to previous reviews and just bought a better replacement part.

Received the order in the quickest time ever
Have not yet tried the on the motorcycle tank yet, but happy to try it as the motorcycle is nearly forty years old and any assistance in the restoration of it will help

DO NOT BUY FAILURE IN HOURS.
Only a one star because no stars isn't an option. The stand pipe didn't fit with out deburing, should have been a red flag. Installed and after a day or so to finish the other work needed to be done I filled the bike with gas and went for a ride. I don't see any leaks that night. The next morning I was greeted to a puddle of gas out the overflows. Thinking it could be holding a vacuum some how I removed the vacuum line (with my finger tips) and the nipple from the petcock came with. Came back from work to more fuel under the bike. I then removed the tank and it was trickling a pencil lead sized stream of gas when it should be off.

Required some modifications, but good enough
Not a like-for-like replacement for my 1978 Suzuki GS550 as the fuel port is on the other side of this petcock compared to my existing one. I just used a new piece of fuel host that was a little longer and it was fine. The little strap on the o-ring seems to be to hold the fuel filter on or something, but it protrudes out and sticks out enough with the outer part of the o-ring wasn't able to seal on the gas tank. I could probably just cut that bit off with a knife, but I instead used the o-ring from the old petcock as it was still in OK shape.Besides that, it seems to be pretty decent quality and doesn't appear to leak or anything, and much cheaper than finding an OEM replacement.

Seal leaked.
Used to replace original valve that had dried out. This product worked fine but constantly leaked until silicone was added to the seal.
