It is beautifully made but once I open it, the strongest tobacco/burnt cigarette smell filled my nose and my entire home. I tried to get rid of the smell by washing it with dish soap and water and letting it air dry but the smell was still there and stuck in my kitchen. Then, I tried tossing it in the dishwasher but this time, everything that I had toss in the dishwasher along with this just ends up smelling like burnt cigarettes/tobacco! How do I get rid of that smell???

I ordered this for a friend! Where he lives, all the Asian stores have everything to cook the rice but nothing to store it... it said he would not receive this item till July 27-Aug 8th, but I ordered it July 2nd and he received it today July 16th.He is so happy to have received this. Small like a trinket box but the craftsmanship itself is beautiful Not really suited for kra-tip unless maybe in a school lunchbox. I love mine to serve as container for candy on coffee table. It’s an adorable accent piece in my opinion
