SYRP Genie Mini II Panning Motion Controller

I'm using both Syrp Genie Mini II and Edelkrone HeadOne for product photography and videography, and I have to say that Syrp is superior product with smoother movement (especially start/stop phase) and way better and more customizable software. Product turntable is also made of solid metal with threads and markings, unlike Edelkrone's plastic plate that barely supports anything heavier than few lbs. I'm a huge fan of Edelkrone and their whole product range, but Syrp is a superior product this time. Way louder though, but better. A keeper for sure!

I bought two units in the brackets in order to shoot multi-row panoramas. First advice is to be extremely patient. Almost certainly you will be required to upgrade the firmware, a quite painful process. Sometimes it get stuck, doesn’t complete or takes forever. The error messages are somehow “discouraging”. Just keep trying and eventually you will get the the most recent firmware (currently 1.25 if I remember correctly).I use them with my Canon EOS R and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Behavior is so unpredictable to generate some frustration and disappointment. When it works flawlessly, it’s a beauty!Two types of problems, one ergonomic, and one operational:- the power button can be turned on by accident, for example in a packed bag or backpack. That means being out of power on the field. Haven’t found a way to control on/off, but will do more research- struggling to device to fire my camera, and behavior is unpredictable. Will replace the cable (currently using the original one), hope that’s the faulty componentMore tutorials and more detailed support directly from Syrp or third parties would help.

I have been lucky when purchasing my photographic equipment, well, no one can go wrong with Cannon products. I don't remember being dissatisfied with other photographic brands. Genie mini II is a complete fraud. We photographers look for quality and dependable products that can be trusted at any time. The software and communications of this Genie, is the most horrible and dysfunctional part.Every single time to be used, the communication area is frustrating. How can this company can charge so much money for a piece of junk equipment?????

Works as expected. The best option would be to use in conjunction with a linear slider for a dual-axis movement.

Directions state to connect to bluetooth, it then states it needs a firmware update. The unit then updates to 3% then it defaults to a message saying to connect to some long wifi connection code. Complete waste of time.

battery lasts very little, no documentation how to use this product with certain camera, support very poor, overpriced, try another similar product

Le produit en soit est bien, mais il a deux défauts qui à mon sens sont majeurs :1. Il est extrêmement bruyant, donc on oublie les prises de vues avec enregistrement du son.2. Plus ennuyeux, on ne peut pas le laisser branché sur une source de courant pendant le fonctionnement ce qui exclu toute utilisation un peux (trop) longue.Sinon, il fait très bien le job!

Lo compré de segunda mano en Warehouse a buen precio. Lo he usado bastante durante meses y por el momento ningún tipo de problema.La batería me viene durando 6 horas, quizá más. La app sencilla e intuitiva. Movimiento de rotación fluido. Se nota que es un producto de calidad. Personalmente muy contento, lo volvería a comprar y lo recomiendo si quieres darle movimiento a tus timelapses.

Keine Ahnung bezüglich der negativen Bewertungen. Ich habe damit absolut keine Probleme. Sogar das Firmware Update funktionierte ohne Probleme. Ich kann den Genie Mini II nur weiterempfehlen.
