Good blade selection
Some blades are better than others but you get enough to try and find blades you like. Great value.

Essential for Double Edge Razor Learners
This is the first set of blades I purchased to learn with my old style safety razor and I've been so pleased with them. Each blade really does feel and cut differently and the longevity from blade to blade can vary as well. A must buy for DE Shavers!

Great for bread chefs and dough scoring.
Great opportunity to use/try different blades for comparing for "bread lame " utility. There are truly different characteristics observed between the blades. This assortment allowed my chef/wife to experiment and find the specific blade most suited to each dough and project.

Pretty good set, some better than others
So far my favorite is the Astra Platinum, those blades are awesome and are much cheaper than the Feathers I have used up until now. But I have not tried them all yet, so I might have a new favorite next week....

Which Blade Is Best? The Derby Premium FTW! Comprehensive Review
Like most of you, I bought this sampler to be able to easily compare and contrast the dozen brands before purchasing a 100-pack of a brand. I have shaved with DE safety razors for about 7 years, and was using Feathers until I ran out recently. I was surprised that the price of a Feather 100-pack had almost doubled! So I needed to find a more reasonably priced brand. My criteria were simple: the blade had to be smooth and efficient on the first shave, nearly as good on the fifth shave as on the first, generally consistent from blade to blade, and a 100-pack had to be under $10. (This last criteria eliminated the Nacets and Permasharps.)My methodology was as follows: I went through one blade for each brand for two shaves. I repeated this process. This eliminated all brands that were not smooth and efficient right off of the bat, or ones that were not consistent for both the blades. I then used the remaining brands for five shaves, and repeated this three times. I shaved on consecutive days, or left a gap of a day, to have longer hair to cut. I used a point system for this phase - 1 point for a great shave, half a point for an “ok” shave, etc. Finally, I used a Tatara Muramasa adjustable razor, which is the finest razor I’ve used (vs. multiple Rocnel Sailors, Merkur, ATT, Timeless, etc). I have a very consistent shaving technique, and prefer a mild-to-medium shave. After first round I was able to eliminate the Asco, Astra Platinum, Shark Platinum, Derby Extra, Treet, and Lord razors. All of them presented a poor shave within the first two shaves of a single blade, or on the second blade. This left the Sharp, Shark Stainless, Astra Stainless, and Derby Premium. All of these are excellent razors, and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. However after two weeks with each blade, and a total of fifteen shaves, the Derby Premiums stood out. They were consistently smooth and efficient, from the first shave to the fifth. Derby has a great reputation, and rightly so.So there you have it. This is a great pack to do your own comparison, and an excellent value. Happy shaving!

Good assortment
Very happy with this assortment of blades. New to DE shaving and I use them on my head. The Nacets are my favorite of the group by far. But some of the others I thought would be total crap were actually pretty decent, and some I thought was a go-to were actually less than stellar (for my shave experience at least).

Nice assortment of today's budget DE razor blades. Find what works for you.
Baffled by claims about razor blades? Well I am. Everyone's face is different. How do you know what's best "for you"? This is a nice assortment of reasonably priced blades. Try them for yourself and then go buy 100 of whatever works best.

Razor Blades
If you’re new to double razor wet shaving these are a must have. All things change the type of shave you will have, and enjoy. The pre-shave preparation, shave soup vs. shave cream, shave oil, and yes they type of razor blade takes a great roll in reducing irritation, and makes for a comfortable shave. The above razor blades are not expensive and allow you to try our different razor blades to see which one suits your style of shaving best. All work well, with quality materials, and hardness levels. Try them all, before you buy in bulk.
