Zoom Dog Itchy Dog Skin, Coat Allergy Formula (60 Tabs)

Very satisfied - and saving a ton of money.
We have two mixed breed 50lb dogs with skin irritations. The bulldog mix, Sam, has severe dermatitis due to allergies, and Stella, boxer/lab, has moderate skin irritations, also likely due to allergies. Sam's skin would crawl at your touch, and he was CONSTANTLY scratching himself, rolling around on rough gravel, in the grass for long periods, and sometimes to the point of bleeding by scratching his back along the underside of the truck bumper. Stella was constantly licking licking licking and scratching. We took Sam to the vet who prescribed a new-to-market prescription drug called Apoquel. It was $2.50 per dose ($5.00 per pill). It worked amazingly for the first several weeks where he had pretty much stopped scratching. After a while, it seemed to back off on it's effectiveness, but still helped to greatly control his scratching - no more abrasions or manic scratching, and the skin crawling almost completely gone. However the cost of the drug was becoming overwhelming. My brother-in-law, a hunter, came to visit, heard our story, and recommended Zoom Dog'a Itchy Dog Formula. He doesn't have a dog but his friends do and they had used it successfully. We were still skeptical, but desperate. We've been using it now for two months on both dogs. Sam's condition is about the same as it was under the Apoquel treatment, though it's costing us MUCH less to achieve. And Stella, since hers was more moderate to begin with, is almost 100% controlled. The constant licking, and scratching to the point of fur loss is gone and her fur has grown back in the area she'd lost it.There is a front-loading time period when you begin administering the supplement. You double dose for about 5 days and then back off to one dose per day. After only a few days we noticed the difference.I would definitely recommend you give the product a try to give some relief to your dog with allergic dermatitis.**Note: In the past I had tried changing their food to something that was "everything-free".. no glutens, fillers, etc. It did help, but it was expensive (we have a total of 3 dogs) and wasn't as effective as the Itchy Dog Formula.

Very effective
Before I found this product, I was at my wit's end with my dog's hot spots. She just kept getting one after the other. I found an effective, home remedy spot treatment (diluted apple cider vinegar), but that didn't keep the hot spots from forming. I tried one supplement before finding this one but it didn't work. After reading reviews, I tried Zoom Dog and after two weeks, the hot spots and constant scratching stopped completely and haven't returned. On the advice of another reviewer, I gave her two caplets a day for the first month, and like I said, all symptoms stopped within two weeks. Now I continue to give her one a day for maintenance. After two months, so far, so good. I just drop it in with her regular morning feeding, and she gobbles it up with everything else. This may be a little pricey, but it's better than a) seeing your dog with itchy, painful spots and b) paying your vet $200 for treatments that don't really work. I highly recommend this product.

Lessened the scratching
I have been using this for around six months on my Labrador. He has food and environmental allergies that cause him to scratch himself until he bleeds. He lives in our home and only goes outside to play, chase balls, hang out with us, etc.. Assuming the allergy clinic was honest with us, he showed allergies to things from house dust to certain grasses - a 900.00 test. We did not have him tested for food allergies but by observation, it is clear to us that chicken and turkey makes him itch. And things like lamb do not agree with his digestive system very well. The only protein we give him is fish and we use high grade food, primarily Blue Buffalo and other $50.00 a bag brands. The only thing that stopped his scratching was steroids. You cannot give a dog steroids long term, especially in high doses. The dog almost died twice when we did this. He developed sores under his fur, spots all over his belly and exposed skin, and would not eat or drink. The final solution, after a couple of years of heartache was this Zoom Dog product. It will not cure the itching but it has allowed us to reduce his steroid treatment to a 1/4 pill every 4 or 5 days. Originally, we were giving him a full pill every other day. Now he does not scratch himself bald, although he still scratches here and there throughout the day. I found out from other dog owners that many give their dogs steroids regularly even though it is not recommended, but it is the lesser of two evils in many cases.Anyway, getting back to Zoom Dog, this product has not helped with his paws as much. We dip his paws in a product called "Stop Paw Licking" and it helped as well but still did not completely cure it. It can be tiring having to struggle with a 65 pound dog every day to dip his paws in a bucket of solution. As I stated before, at least now, the dog can lie around pretty content, with only occasional scratching. We will sometimes use a "hot spot" spray on his individual areas but they kind of smell and don't wash off your hands easily. All in all, it is an expensive proposition that may require financial sacrifices elsewhere, but I trust this dog and get more benefit from it than many people I have associated with, which is sad but true. Hope this helps someone.

It worked for us.
I can not rate the flavor, I did not partake. The scent is disgusting to me. What is important is that my dog with severe allergies was able to get off a potentially dangerous drug and find comfort. I tried several other products that did not do the trick. This one worked for us and I have recommended it to several other people.
