MOT18698-1/3HP 200/230V 850RPM 48 CCW, Replaces MOT13793 / MOT13402

Trane Parts MOT18698-1/3HP 200/230V 850RPM 48 CCW, Replaces MOT13793 / MOT13402 - perfect replacement part for my 14-yo heat pump Trane which has been serviced every 6 months since installed in May 2010. The company that installed and has been serving this unit claimed over a week ago a replacement fan motor would have to be ordered from China and would not be available for 21+ days. I was livid at not having AC for that length of time in sweltering east Tennessee heat. I decided to do my own searching for the part and within a matter of one hour (included taking photos included here) I found four (4) companies within the USA with ample supplies in current inventory of this part. SupplyMount was the only company selling through Amazon and I know Amazon and their deliveries having been a customer for so many years. Plus the price was comparable and in the mid-range of parts available and the delivery schedule was sooner than the others. The original hvac company servicing my unit refused to install this part - I suspect they were trying to sweat me out so I would agree to have a whole new system installed -- they were wrong. I found another hvac independent tech willing to install IF I ordered the correct part. New hvac guy came, opened the box, and declared "this is the correct part" and had it installed in about 30-45 mins. Within minutes cool air was flowing through my house. New hvac tech indicated my unit is in excellent shape and operate many more years with regular maintenance -- he's my new hvac maintenance call! The old company had been trying to pressure me to replace the unit ever since it was 10 years old. Don't be scammed -- do your own research. There are honest hvac independent contractors out there. I also had a backup plan to have a local electrician install the part. Finally a comfortable house in the heat. Thank you I have a whole-house fan. Also have large fans in many rooms. I did purchase a portable AC room unit (Honeywell) from Home Depot (10,000 btu) a couple of days before Trane fixed which allowed me to sleep -- I am a hospital healthcare provider and this has been a lifesaver. SupplyMount was responsive and the part was delivered on time as promised!

This part was a bit hard to find since model numbers change over time but this motor worked perfectly for my Trane 4TWX5060A1000AA unit that had a genteq model 5SME39HL HE026 motor for the condensing unit fan.
