awesome low priced quality tripod
just unboxed mine today. gotta say this is a great tripod for the price. i've always went budget,(like really budget) on tripods for glassing and decided to spend a little more. here in AZ we spent hours glassing when hunting which is a standard so equipment is crucial. i didnt want to spend hundreds on something i use a couple of times in the year. i searched reviews and videos on this product and went with it. again, it is great and im impressed with the quality and sturdyness of it. the fluid head works awesome and smooth. its probably the heavyest of the unit but not too much. i like the tensions on the locks so you can tighten it and still move it around and it will stay in place. i wasnt sure about the feature on the head where when unlocked it will go back to the level position but with the binos attached, it stays where you want it. (i have a full size bino for glassing) but adjustments is easy if you wnt to lock it. it's about 4 lbs so not too bad in my back pack. i threw it in there and i feel no excess weight. all in all its a great product. buy it if you want a "budget" yet quality tripod. i have yet to take it to the field for the real test but as for now i am very satisfied with the purchase.

Fantastic tripod with fluid motion
Over the years, I've used a lot of cheaper tripods, and while they've all handled still photography pretty well, it's pretty common for them to have issues with smooth movement, particularly if you try to pan and tilt at the same time. I'm well aware that higher-end tripods are better at this, but they can get mighty expensive. But this one here solved my problems. I love that I can pan and tilt with a single handle, and it's super smooth, not jerky at all. For anyone who is looking for a good video tripod under a hundred dollars, look no further. It's easily the best I've used in this price range.

A workable camera tripod for video with some issues
4 starts based off other tripods in this price range. I've shot video professionally and personally for years. I've used $5k tripods and $50 tripods so here is my two cents. I was using this on my canon 70d with a 70-200mm f2.8 mounting the tripod to the lens. PROS: All the components fit snug together with very little play when locked down. The screws turned nicely and it was easy to adjust The fluid head resistance is not adjustable (only expensive heads do this) however it is very consistent from when it first engages to the release. This makes it easy to start and stop your camera move Tripod gets SUPER tall. Perfect for shooting over peoples heads if your in a crowded space. Rubber plug in the tripod plate allows you to remove or alter the screws if needed to fit a specific mount or lens CONS: (Take these with a grain of salt. This is a low cost tripod) My biggest complain is how the tripod attaches to the head. There is a screw that tightens into the head and there is a rubberized/textured plate however a quick move with the tripod unscrews the head. This is super annoying as the resistance of the head is a lot and continually unscrews the head. I fixed this (mostly) by using a large wrench pliers to really tighten the head down. When extending the neck of the tripod (red ring under the head) you really need to tighten it down or there is a slight jerk every time you move left or right. There is a groove in the extension and there is a little bit of play when it moves left/right. Again if you really crank it down it goes away. The legs of the tripod do not lock out. The be clear they lock during extending but not when you are setting your base. It's nice for a run and gun setup where you want to move quickly as lifting up on the neck of the tripod all the legs fold in however it can create some shifting and uneven shots if one of your legs it not fully out. There are 3 spots where you can set the angle of your leg spread however these reset when the legs fold back in. Personally I think the resistance of the head makes the monopod function useless for video however I only typically shoot this way so it might just be me. I do like it for shooting still images though. Even after all the small issues I would still recommend this for casual video shooting. Personally I found starting on a cheaper tripod help enhance my skills and made it easier when using a more expensive one. If you have extra money and shoot video often (or for money) I would recommend investing in something better. It will save you time and money in post.

Its great.
Works very well. Like the fact converts to monopod. I dont even need to remove other 2 legs to do it. I just leave 1 leg longer than the others and shorter ones just get drawn together. Only thing I have to watch for is since it is light, as tripod if your hands remain on camera you Can see jerkiness/vibrations in your footage. Unlike metal heavy tripods this is sensitive To touching while filming. Once your in position and shooting, keep hands off as much as possible. Its hard to do when you need to do alot of zooming and panning.

Perfect for video and photography
Very solid tripod. The quality is pretty good for the price. I'm totally blown by the built quality, lots of adjustments, compact but can be really tall. And I was also interested to see how a tripod can transform in a monopod and how easy it's to work with. Overall this is a good buy when it comes to spec and build quality.

A well built and sturdy tripod
This Neewer is great. Super lightweight but sturdy. The tripod extends out to over 70" and collapses down to under 18" and it makes it super easy to travel with. This comes with a great smooth fluid head and a quick shoe plate. The legs can be removed and the tripod can be converted into a monopod. This is made of finely crafted aluminum alloy. This would make a great addition to any run and gun filmmaker.

Always Read Reviews!
If you’re considering this tripod, make sure to read my review and reviews of others. I wish I did. I bought this tripod specifically because of the “fluid head”, however, since I bought this in 2020, Neewer has come out with much better alternatives to this particular tripod and head combination. I would not recommend that you buy this particular combination. First of all the feet footings fall off very easily. Unfortunately there is no way to replace the footings as you can see in my photo, these are hollow legs with no threaded footings. Once you lose a footing, the tripod is essentially worthless, because it’ll always be out of balance and scrape whatever floor you’re working on. The fluid head has two problems: it is so tightly integrated with the base, that when you move this heavy head, it’ll also simultaneously unscrew the entire head from the tripod. The second problem is that the lever to loosen the metal fluid head is made of soft plastic, and so it strips quite easily. Finally, and I’m not sure if this is supposed to happen, but I don’t think it should. Is that the side of the head with the Neewer logo doesn’t completely attach to the head. It’s very loose and I never found a way to tighten it. Overall, make sure that if you’re looking for a fluid head, it has clear and separate levers that make the head independently movable and don’t interact with the rest of the tripod assembly, make sure the footings are replaceable somehow, because you never know when you might lose one, and that the levers or of a higher quality so that the plastic doesn’t strip.

Lots of good features, but not perfect.
I was looking for a new tripod in this price range and familiar with the brand on other products. If you do video a fluid head is the way to go. Ive used broadcast quality fluid heads before so I know what perfection is like and know I cant afford perfection. Pros -The up and down tilt of the head is very nice and fells smooth. -Quick release plate is an essential feature for me and appears to be compatible with other swiss arca style quick release plates -The monopod is very useful versatile, and portable option to have if your camera has a 3/8 mount to attach it to -All tightening knobs can be pulled out and rotated to change the position of the lever to make it easier to tighten, not expecting this feature, its hard to explain, but very handy. -Hook for adding weights -Carry bag is nicer than I expected and properly folded tripod is under 24" in length -Center column and fluid head assembly is removable/serviceable Cons -The legs do not lock when folded out and are not attached to each other to keep the legs from individually shifting -Panning left to right is not as smooth as tilting up and down. Its not terrible or unusable, but compared to how smooth up and down is it is a noticeable difference -Center column locking knob can come undone from over turning. Its easy to fix it comes loose and once I realized to focus on turning the black rubber part and not the whole assembly the problem is prevented. -Not super sturdy or rock solid. Part of this is because of the legs and overall weight. Its not going to fall over but aggressive panning and tilting or bumps will easily shake the tripod if your not aware, but you get a hook to hang weights if it is a big concern. -To properly close the tripod to fit in the bag you extend the center column all the way up and fold the legs up 180 degrees. Not a huge deal its just weird that somehow that makes the whole packed length a few inches shorter than just lowering the center column all the way and leaving the legs as short as they go.

Xcellent tripod
Really good tripod for this price. I needed a tall one, this does the job. The fluid head is great for the video camera I’m using it with. The vertical motion is smooth straight out the box. It’s adaptability to a monopod is a bonus that I didn’t expect for this price. HOWEVER you may need to adjust the friction to get a better fluid motion in the horizontal panning. When it arrived it was quite stiff and caused a jerky motion as I panned it left or right. It would even spring back a bit when I let go. Maybe it’s because I had a light weight DSLR and light weight lens. Possibly this does not happen if your camera and lens combination is heavier. Rather than return it you can remove the upside down U shaped plastic cover (note the orientation since it is not a symmetrical fitting). Just bring the handle down to maximum vertical for ease of access. Prise off the cover, then get a spanner to slightly loosen the hexagonal bolt that is now revealed in the centre section below. Maybe only a quarter turn. Try it out to see if it is now loose enough. Don’t go too far. Then replace the cover. This resulted in a hugely better panning motion.

Meet my Expectation
The NEEWER 2-in-1 Aluminum Alloy Camera Tripod Monopod is really the best option as I got a Tripod Monopod at the same time.
